Thank you for sharing this technique, , this will be a big help for us on our upcoming DIY canvas projects 😀

I see how it would take a few prototypes to get the technique. That double edged tape makes all the difference. Good teaching

This addresses an important gap that had existed in Sailrite's syllabus. It is a BIG DEAL that you filled this gap and should give Sailrite far more of the respect they deserve. A supplier, teaching and nurturing the trades they supply is exactly what should happen. Kudos Eric, et al!

thank you for all your investigation and making a video for a water resistant roll up window a.k.a. smiley. I do need some clarification if you can. It looks like this window rolls up on the outside of it and not from the inside (helm or cockpit area).

Awesome video. Love how you show every step of the way creating the project. I am interested in that worker bee now. Still getting to know my Sailrite. Loving it, but it does take some time to get used to that speed not having a worker bee. Smiles. Was planning to take my machine down south but its way to heavy to transport to the boat. And I am worried I may have to pay custom fees to bring it to the Caribbean where our boat is.

This is fantastic! It works well for enclosure panels with curved sides also (which is what I used the technique for). I am planning a curved zipper opening in a future panel to be used as a door that will be sideways with the zipper part foreword and the stops aft. Is there a way to adapt this (or some other) technique to make that leak-proof?

Thanks for your kind comment! Not sure I understand your request regarding "zipper part forward and stops aft" can you send more info or pictures to me for evaluation? ericg@sailrite.com

How would I add a screen to this?
@SailriteDIY5 ай бұрын
We attempted to make one with a screen and it did not work. With a lot of prototyping im sure there is a way, but the process we used doesn't seam to allow for a screen.

I a pretty smart guy, watched most all your videos and I’d like to say. At 42 minutes in your are as clear as mud. Totally lost you, and WAY over complicated, I will finish video and probably figure it out, but wow, all over the place. First truly hard one to follow.
