Gosh I used common sense to figure it out but I see why people are confused lol. I thought you were drilling into the shelf initially. My brain needed a “this white thing represents the wall”. Overall though this tutorial made the task feel a lot less daunting! One question. I noticed you staggered the screws. Is that in the instructions? How do we know exactly which holes to utilize if we’re not using them all?

What do we do if the studs aren’t in the ideal places? Since I saw in a reply that you said we need to do it in the stud.

Thanks for showing us what anchor screws to buy and the sizes to purchase. Does anyone know if I need to buy a special drill bit, or will the drill bit that is included with the drill come with it (I haven't bought my drill yet). EDIT: Oh never mind. Try looking for drill that comes with drill & bits set. 8mm is quite common size.
