How drop-resistant is this product? I just purchased this one, reformatted as the speaker guided, but I would like to know how cautious and careful should I be w this HDD. Would I lose all my files if this accidentally drops from the table while working on it?

With the "install digital software for Mac" I click that, then another folder comes up with the orange logo to "install digital western software" but when I click that literally nothing happens. Am I done? confused...

Hi, please be informed that the WD Discovery application never accesses your personal data. It asks for permission to access app activity and crash information which is later used for application fixes and new updates.

Hello, if you are still having difficulties finding your WD hard drive on your mac, try these following steps after connecting your hard drive: 1. First click on the Finder app on the button of your screen 2. Next click on the Finder button in the menu bar at the left top of the screen (ensure Finder app is open). 3. Click on Preferences → General → Show these items on the desktop. 4. Ensure the boxes next to External disks and Hard disks are selected. 5. Then go to the Sidebar and also check Hard disks and External disks. If you are using Disk Utility, follow these steps: Go to Applications → Utilities → Disk Utility → View → Show All Devices At this point the sidebar on the left will display any external drives - your hard drive should now be displayed there.
