Man I want to personally thank you for making this video and providing the link for this tow package. I revisited the website that I ordered it from and I saw that they are no longer available. I feel lucky for buying one just in time. The instructions it came with kinda suck but they way you did step by step and especially for the ground made it much faster for me to finish, and yes I did this by myself 😅 was a struggle

Installed a Reese hitch on my 2009 Tacoma today. For me it was definitely a two person job…even with a floor jack. The most difficult part was installing the spacers. Highly recommend the Reese. It’s incredibly sturdy and well built.

it's all clear but if you want to pull anything heavier than 1500 lbs, you will need a 7 pin connector to feed power for electric brakes on the trailer. Do you have instructions for a 7-pin connector and wiring for towing a trailer with electric brakes?

Unfortunately I don’t have a setup for the 7-pin connector. I don’t pull anything greater than 1500 lbs as of yet but I’ll be sure to look into it and perhaps give you a reply when I figure it out.

This is why this hitch doesn't work on the X - Runner: The ground effects package is also on the rear bumper and will be in conflict with the receiver on the hitch. How do I know this ? I know because I've installed the X - Runner bracing on my 2013 Regular Cab, and the rear brace will need to come off, so that the rearward lower frame rail mounting point can be used by both the hitch and the back of X - Brace. So if you've done this like I have it will work. I auto X my truck and have a lot of changes done to it.

Probably not since the hitch needs to be between the bumper brackets and the frame. It would be an inconvenience since the bumper itself holds the hitch in place.

Yes it was quite hard for me as well. Patience and strength is the key!

@@theyotaduo Chasing the holes with a tap made it much easier. I couldn't get the bolts in all the way. Got the proper chaser tool and I was able to put the bolts in by hand.

Why is your bolts so easy to remove? On my 2011 it has welded on nuts and when trying to remove the bolts I need an impact wrench it seems.

Not sure, I didn’t need any special tools to remove mines nor did they have any welds. Could have been rust maybe?
