I don't know from the video what side of the fence the pool is on but I believe it is recommended for pool gates that the gate swings out away from the pool rather than in for safety reasons

Good job what is the thicknesss of the spacer? Where can you get them. Is it just easier to use two normal spacers one at top and one at bottom like the clapping idea

He said to use a Phillips screwdriver but used a flathead to adjust the tension.

does the hinge allow for a full open 180 degrees?

My hinges weren't tight enough, so after tightening it seems to work, but the bottom one is making a pop-clicking ratcheting sound as it auto-closes now. Top one is fine
