That saw is LITERALLY going to kick the sh_t out of the 3/4" ply and 2x4's that comprise 99% of saw work. I guess I'll be throwing out my Sawzall that cuts 4x4's and 6x6's in one pass.

Since bottom plinth is not running level paling will not sit flush on plinth and have a small gap under one side of plinth no scribing? Why not run plinth level from one end to the next and if needed run 2 plinths so top of fence runs level? I see the nails went in through both palings are they not only supposed to go through the overlap paling in this case the 100mm paling?

Please complete by flashing off the gap between the access gate and the main gate, using 30x3 galv flat bar and tack weld or tek screw for privacy. Gorgeous job mate 👍

My brother had a 6ft tall concrete wall built so his dogs can stay inside the yard and roam freely. They would run fast and scale the wall. One time he saw one dog walking on top of the wall. 😂

I don't like that bottom rail being attached with that small scab. Why didn't you rout out the bottom rail like you did with the other 3 rails?

Why would you bother? In order for you to enter the gate it needs to be unlocked. Isn’t that the whole point to the sliding gate to have security. It only costs a couple dollars to get an automatic gate jigger to give to your whole family. Just open the gate a meter and then close it

I agree with you. But, what the client wants, the client gets 👍

Good job what is the thicknesss of the spacer? Where can you get them. Is it just easier to use two normal spacers one at top and one at bottom like the clapping idea

This will work in a pinch but be better to angle your nails instead of shooting straight in for a better hold since they are hair thin

you can only do that with straight grain wood. no way would it come out that clean with pine. Even with lots of cuts it sometimes breaks in deeper than you want.

I believe they are still the trees owner’s property unless the state otherwise. If this was my neighbour I would have a conversation about it and try to come to some agreement. Id happily go into the neighbours garden to clean it up once a month. Life is too short to be having silly neighbours wars over small inconveniences.
