Yes, you are 100% correct! I had to strap my post to hold it upright or else it would slant due to the excavation, unfortunately.

I see on the package instructions for adjusting the tension (Step 2:) they say to loosen the screw on the bottom of the hinge and push it up to release the tension nut. Then adjust the tension using the allen key. Then once the tension is adjusted push the tension cap down and re-tighten the screw. I don't think you mentioned that in your video. Is that necessary? I have had difficulty raising the tension cap after removing the screw and wondered if there are any more tricks I'm missing?

Hello there, yes I did not mention about the screws. That step did not help me at all. What I did was, having that screw not too tight that I was able to still turn the tension with the Allen key. I found out if I had the screw too tight. I wasn't able to turn the tension cap and the Allen key will eventually strip the cap. Sorry it's been awhile. I hope this somewhat helps 🍻
