How to install Ultimate Headers Low Profile Band Clamps, Pontiac Re-Build part 12

Time to fix my exhaust header connection, and add proper low profile swivel ball joints, from @Ultimate Headers. We're on the tail end of my engine rebuild, and I need to fix the exhaust before re-installing it. If you missed it, check out the engine tear down episode... the bearings were toast! In this episode, "How to install Ultimate Headers Low Profile Band Clamps, Pontiac Re-Build part 12", we just installed the new Dual Disc from RAM Clutches, but I noticed my header to X pipe connection needs some serious help. Use a hose clamp as a guide to use a saws all if you don’t have a band saw like me. Converting craftsman band saw to metal. Doing my cars from scratch so pipes will be easy on length. Great video again. Never saw that type before. Thanks again. Love the layman instructions. I can actually understand them. Lol Adaptation is the name of the game.

@@FastMonty have used it. Do like you did setting it up then hose clamp like you did tape. Going to order those exhaust connectors. Getting ready to order headmen full length headers for the impala and Chevelle. Don’t like how the mid length worked on passenger side. Will cut those flanges off and weld these on. So I should contact them for the downsize 3 to 2.5?

Hey mike this is anthony from the pontiac car show with the blue firebird h.o next to brandon i remembered your youtube channel and checked out your videos on the engine rebuild and wat a huge difference it looks wen you added color to it ibstead of all chrome now it inspired me to tear apart my engine and redue it thanks for the inspiration and the time you take out on explaining everything oh yea at the pontiac car show a few weeks ago they were doing awards and you won an award but left before i could tell you

Hmm, I need a set of these! I can't get my bird on my lift without long ramps because my header flanges contact the lower rung of the lift. Thanks for showing these off!

You can get different thickness rubber mounts for the crossmember if you just need to raise the trans

What band saw are you using?

I have a Dewalt Pipe Cutter. Head over to www.swagoffroad.com/collections/swag-portaband-tables-accessories Then you can get any version, Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc... then, hang it on the wall. Have fun!

Why does the O2 need to be 15deg?

Good question... it's so moisture doesn't collect in it, and prematurely oxidize it. :) You could go vertical, if you wanted, but it probably won't fit.. ha, ha... thanks for the comment.

What TIG welder do you use and do you like it?

Good question Bill... it's a Miller Diversion 165, with a pro torch conversion, and foot pedal from arc-zone.com Unfortunately, I don't think Miller makes it anymore? But, I do love it!
