Hi, My pulley has come in 2 parts and needs building up. Please can you tell me which thread lock I should use?

Haha! That’s a good question! I threaded two spare bolts in the damper and used a pry bar in one hand leveraging against the bolts and the torque wrench in the other.

Tap it in with a rubber mallet and use impact with arp bolt to torque it on. A couple of ugga uggas after wards.

The only belt is the alternator belt and it's the factory size.

Nice but how do you torque the crank pulley bolt to spec? its like 180ftlbs or something and the ATI damper doesn't have the big hex thing to hold it in place while you torque it. Is everyone just using and impact to crank it on and call it a day? lol

Haha! That’s a great question. I end up using (and also bending in the process) 2, 5/16 bolts in place of the torx bolts on the damper along with a pry bar to keep it from spinning. I’m thinking about making a holder soon… we’ll see. But, you can also use a serpentine belt around the damper and alternator and fold it over itself to prevent it from spinning too!

if the motor is in the car when you are putting the damper, put the car in gear and put the e brake on , if the motor is out of the car take a double ended closed end wrench ,bolt one side to the crank case and the other side to the fly wheel to lock up the rotating assembly
