Than you for the excellent video showing how to install a Bidet toilet attachment. I purchased 2 ultra thin Bidets so the toilet seats were not influenced by the thickness of the attachment. Since I purchased the Bidets from amazon I received them in 4 days. After installing the Bidets I was happy the toilet seats were not raised much at all. Both the Bidets worked as advertised. The downside is the ultra thick attachments are very flimsily waiting for an accident to happen. To provide additional support I installed 1/2 inch pex tubing in between the main Bidet unit and the floor. I used double sided tape to hold the pex tubing in place. I did posted pictures on Amazon along with a write up. Eventually I may spend the extra money and buy the a Bidet toilet seat.

Nice review and step by step install. Only thing I recommend doing that you did not is using Teflon tape for all water lines so they don’t have a place to leave if the washer fail or is not aligned correctly.

If a washer fails then teflon isnt saving your butt. Nobody should be using teflon tape on these connections. They are all sealed only with washers. If there is a defect that is causing leaking then that defect needs to be addressed.

It’s for your private bathroom, not for guest bathroom. Or for you and your spouse. You can have another one in the kids’ bathroom separate for them, if you really think they might use it. In my experience kids never use it lol

Apparently they sell an ultra thin bidet that doesn't effect the toilet seat height. They also sell a specific Bidet toilet seat.

Ok,we just installed ours. However, it's different from this video.the knobs are white plastic an d you can barely see the settings. Only one knob to be used. The second knob is just to adjust water temp, but we only have cool water, no heat. There doesn't seem to be amy setting to clean the spigots.It had to be adjusted,an d seems to work OK. The battery operated self clean light,bought separately, keeps shutting off. Do I think it's worth it? I guess so but for how long? It is made with thin plastic. We will see.

You want to use plumbers tape to assure no leaks from any threads of all connectors.

Plumbers tape really doesnt help or do much when using a hose with rubber gasket. The hose seals with compression against gasket. When connecting a hose with no rubber gasket plumbers tape or paste will be needed.

Sounds like there is something plugging the inlet to the valve in the tank or the valve itself in the tank is not working properly.

After I posted my question to your site, I discovered that the floating object on the hollow post, on the left side of my tank, was not dropping down the post so the water could be release to flow in. I adjusted it a bit, and it seems to work better. I will leave off the lid of the tank for a day or so in order to watch it and adjust it more as needed. I am glad to find your site. I rarely subscribe to any KZbin's but I feel that I have found a great teacher in you. In the future, I will check your KZbins for any other projects I work on before I look elsewhere. I got my order in a normal length of time. The cold water is a wake-up cal, l but otherwise, I'm quite happy with it. I use a dedicated washcloth instead of toilet paper and soap and rinse it after each use.

Asked customer service this question and they sent me to this video. I have the Duke model with hot and cold lines. Installed fine, no leaks, works great. Problem happens at the end of the toilet flush now. When tank gets full, my feed pipe growls like a baritone bagpipe mateing with a harmonica. This only lasts about 10 seconds, and I'm usually back in the livingroom or bedroom by the time it happens. Any advice? My plumber relative has no answers either, and if I cannot get rid of this noise, I will be ready to get rid of the bidet. Thanks, Ducky Duke

How do you resolve the issue that the original toilet seat when installed with the bidet seat does not seat properly? Leaves a gap that can pinch?

You might need to buy a flat under surface toilet seat with additional toilet seat bumpers to let the seat sit higher in front.. The toilet seats that originally come with the toilet are usually concave and round downwards, which can hit the bidet and not let the toilet shut all the way. Hope this helped, if you haven’t found a solution already.

Hi friend, can you help me out? I can't disconnect the hose from the underside of the tank. There seems to be a white plastic part like the one you have, but there's also a metal one, they seem to be stuck together. I think I have to unscrew them apart but I'm unable to do it. I don't think there is an adjustment for where the spray goes at least I don't see how that can be done. I have it set right now with the sprayer all the way back but it doesn't seem to spray in my needed area for a mail that well. I still have to use toilet paper some times. . If you move the seat forward than it will overhang in the front so that's not good. I wonder how this would compare to a GenieBidet elongated seat.

I now have the Genie Bidet and it seems to clean better in the rear than the ClearRear as a man. However my wife seems to like it better than the Genie so far. Genie is odd because for me the nozzle that pops out seemed to hit the right area when the lever is in the woman position and it's not just me but I found another man who's tried it and agreed with me. I'm still not have decided which I like better.

Some people use the toilet paper to dry, but I find that siting for 30 seconds is sufficient, especially that this is now a clean area. It’s because you’re not used to it. Once you try it, you’re hooked. You don’t have to use it all the time, let’s say when you pee maybe you can just use your wipes but when you go no 2 or are on your period, there’s nothing better. Just pat dry with much less toilet paper or personal towel as you are squeaky clean (u can use a mild soap).
