How to Install Upper Control Arms on a Silverado 2500 Duramax | Rough Country 2-4" level/lift

The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Duramax L5P finally gets Rough Country 1959 upper control arms with new ball joints for a proper lift and level.
Installation should be the same for most 2011-2019 2500 and 3500 Silverados and Sierras.

Thank you!! Love the long bed and 3500 of course as yours is basically the same other than engine! Hope it goes well for you. I'm replacing lower control arms now, ball joints aren't budging and the lowered diff impedes with the through bolt removal. But what else is new! Have fun bud.

Arms just bolted in, there was nothing additional.

I don’t understand how you were able to line up the knuckle so easily. I supported the knuckle with my jack but the angle was so far off and the knuckle didn’t have any play. Either way I got the new arms on, rides so much better

I probably cut out plenty of clips of me under the truck fighting with it. Lol i don't remember though. I've definitely struggled with control arms when something is connected. Everything a little loose helps. glad you got it going.

Thanks. I don't see the same arms on the rc site anymore, I'm only seeing arms for a 3-4 inch lift. Maybe a distributor still has them. They're for a 2" lift/level, which is what I have with different keys.

How much of a gap do you have between the new arms and bump stops now? I have a 2016 Duramax and the stock arms on it are like 1/16" from touching it even on level ground.

I went with Ready Lift I put a leveling kit on my 2016 Dura too and it sat on control arms too. READY lift makes a control arm that's almost 90 degree angle to stop this from happening
