I have these on 16 GMC Sierra as well as 2.5" leveling kit,1.5" body lift,1" diff drop,2" blocks in rear and toyo open country 285/70/17. Basically a 4" lift but not cutting anywhere or anything.Just the fins on diff were shaved. So far so good!!

@@zachboudria4647 Don't know brand of diff drop... they threw it in at the store no charge...Did end up cutting off bump stops to accommodate the a arms.They were just rubbing the rubber stoppers too much going over big humps in the road.Also have ball joint popping in front now...haven't check which ones (upper or lower) but I suspect lowers...Changing struts next to Eibach lift struts and doing an add a leaf in rear with Eibach shaocks.I tow heavy loads elk hunting in Colorado and beat the shit out of the front so trying something else.Also going upma size in tires to 305/70/17 in goodyear wrangler kevlar I believe...

Only thing I do have to say about this video is these definitely DO improve ride quality, I installed my lift while waiting for the control arms on back order and said screw it, worst mistake ever, I felt every single bump in the road like I was a slammed static civic 😂😂 definitely a needed purchase, once installed it rides like a dream 💯

I just installed a pair of the aluminum Rough Country upper A-Arms that replace my forged-steel upper A-Arms Factory it states you cannot do this but it works perfectly aligns perfectly and drives perfectly

I have these on my truck and I have a few complaints. There's no grease fitting where the uca connects to the frame, one side of mine squeaks very loudly, and the ball joints are not the best quality.

I have these on my 08 Silverado w/ 3" lift spindles and 2" coil spacers, w/ 3" blocks in the rear. These upper control arms are definitely added peace of mind. The rake on my truck was terrible, almost 3" lower in the front compared to the rear.

Got a 2014 1500 answer is: yes. Especially when hitting potholes, your UCA won’t bottom out, won’t feel the shocks get jammed in your ass.

Will the 99-06 forged uca's work for 2wd? RC says they are for awd/4x4 but everything I find online says the upper control arms are the same for all drive types. What is RC doing different that the uca's wouldn't fit my 2wd?

Do these have replacement ball joints or rubber boots? I’ve had my set of Forged Upper Control Arms for 2 years and they finally blew out the boot. Would love to see you guys supply the replacement sets for this, as it will be a problem for most people in the future.

Yes they are replaceable ball-joints. It is the standard MOOG ball-joint you would get from your local auto parts store!

Question, im sure you have maybe made a video on it, but for a cheap rough country, 3.5" lift, they have one kit that has the control arms and one kit that that has the longer knuckles with stock control arms. Opinions on which is better?

The control arm kits are usually a better choice if they have them available for your year, make, model, drive truck.

I installed these on my 2017 Silverado with a 3.5" lift. You shouldn't have any issues installing the control arms as long as your 7" kit isn't designed for stock uca's.

@@CustomOffsetsTV but doesn't make sense. 8 months ago this video was posted and Baker installed them on his 7.5" truck but the website says they will not work. Unless they changed the knuckle design in 8 months so that you wouldn't need the UCA

ClickRandom I believe rough country states they do not fit, but after installing them ourselves we were able to install them. The 7.5 is an older kit, which is why they may have only listed these for the 7”

Ok so I bought these UCA’s back in November of 2019 and I know for a fact that RC’s website said that these worked with there 7” suspension knuckle kit ( the web page has been since updated to say it doesn’t fit 7-71/2 kits) but even this video says they do. I have these on my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with the 7” knuckle kit. Should I look at replacing them?

Absolutely. The RC 3 inch kit on my 2010 gmc was eating ball joints. I went through at least 4 uppers before putting these on. Great ride quality as well.

Depending on the application, the Rough Country UCA are designed for the Rough Country lift kits and the Zone ones are designed for Zone kits.

I have a lifted RC 7.5 lift 2013 chevy Tahoe Lt. I recently ordered the RC gm forged upper control arm. SKU 27801 stock cast aluminum. When installing it the ball joint did not fit. Does this mean I have to get the SKU 19401A forged solid steel upper control arm??

Am curious if this item will fit my 2019 gmc yukon denali 6.2L, I have the rough country 6inch lift kit that have the extended knuckle. I also have a 2.5 level kit between lower control arm and struts for tire fitment purposes, didn't want to trim my denali lol. Currently running 35 12.50R22 negative 19 for summer's and 35 12.50R18 negative 12 for winter's with no rubbing and no alignment issues. Am just looking to upgrade the upper control arms to a better one than factory.

I have a question, I Installed these and even after torquing them down, the shaft still isn’t going all the way through the locking but. It’s only about 3/4 of the way through it. Is this something I should be worried about, and is there a way to fix this?

I have an 03 with 4” level keys and they are about cranked up, I got the part no.k100116 upper ball joints and those helped me with alignment issues and also made more clearance on the upper control arm bump stops, I haven’t looked into lowers yet.

It comes with the serviceable ball joint, with the nipple for grease fitting so when the ball joint goes bad you can press a new one in i use Moog.

I got this exact forged control arm and a 3 inch front leveling kit by pro ryde but the ball joint won’t go all the way through so there’s no threads going all the way through the bottom nut holding the ball joint down I ordered the 07-16 kit but on the box it says 14-16 and mines a 13 does it just not belong in my 13?

No it will not the bracket lifts are designed to use the factory control arms, if you were to use the Forged Upper Control Arms the balljoint angles would not be very good.
