How to install Vivecraft to Minecraft Modpacks

For example I use the latest version of ATM 6 Modpack. *Edit* I just tested this out on a 1.12.2 modpack - RL Craft. in order for it to work, I did NOT tick the custom forge version. If you're experiencing issues with it crashing, whether it's on 1.12.2 or 1.16 try NOT ticking the custom forge version box when installing vivecraft. If you already tried installing with custom forge, simply run the vivecraft installer again, this time NOT ticking the custom forge, and just name the modpack something different this time, so you know you're launching the new installation. If you still have issues and it seems as though I'm not replying, you can always try commenting on a recent upload (I try to upload daily) and I'm more likely to see that. My intentions are never malicious, I'm not out here pranking people with fake tutorials, I would receive insane dislikes and ruin my reputation by doing so. Upon rewatching this tutorial video I feel like I took too long at certain times. I might make a newer version of this that is hopefully shorter so that on the off chance something changes again and it breaks the tutorial, I will hopefully waste less time. Thank you. Hahahhaa guys, I think you can skip the config part, I just hopped in and it was still all bobbing around... I went into video settings and turned of View Bobbing... It stopped :D

Hey everyone, the reason this doesn't work anymore is due to ATM6's update requiring a forge version beyond what Vivecraft can support. When you tick the custom forge box, the forge version can't be set any higher than the number already in there. It may be possible to set a lower forge version but this isn't recommended. You will need to find mods or a modpack that requires a forge version equal to or lower than the one Vivecraft uses by default. They may update it for newer versions of Forge in future!

not technically true, sometimes you can manually add a higher version of forge and it will still work it doesent limit you to its highest versions its available to work on and even in this video he does that, ive gone up to the latest version of project architect which is currently on forge 36.2.31, 11 higher than what vivecraft says its optimally run on anf it runs sweet as a nut

It was easier installing vivecraft with Forge and then sideloading the modpack. At least in multi MC. But your tutorial help with the general concept thanks.

I hope so too, double checked the pinned comment since that would likely be the last time I tried, it’s always a pain to set things like this up so hopefully they didn’t change much! A big thing I remember is some mods are incompatible and last I checked they had a page on their site with those mods listed, and sometimes some fixes, good luck!

If you are Using a BIG mod and it cannot load and the memory usage is full in the loader and it crashes then open the vive craft installer and Change The Profile Ram Allocation to max If you dont trust me Ram Allocation Means How Much GB Or Ram Forge is Allowed to use and to check how much ram your computer has by just searching in the search bar About and you'l see Installed Ram Storage And Remember That The Computer Itself Uses About 1 GB. Hope It Helped

In order to solve this I did NOT tick the custom forge box when installing, that seemed to fix the issue and the game loaded. It struggled to create a new world within vr and would freeze. I launched it out of vr, loaded a world, then quit, went back to vr, and the world loaded fine. I'll copy paste this on the few replies seeming to have the same issue. I'm assuming NOT ticking the custom forge box will work for 1.16 packs too. Although the method in this video for the 1.16 packs was still working for me so I didn't test it yet.

Don't know if something happened whenever they merged everything or some new update happened but haven't been able to get vivecraft to show up in the minecraft launcher. Use MultiMC, launched it one time and installed to the select folder, worked on the first launch of the game. Just thought I'd let you know

@@DEWSTREAM yep, and turned out to be quite simple. Just put multimc into a folder on the desktop. Run it's exe, find whatever pack you want and install then exit. Launch vivecraft's exe, point first folder to main multimc folder, point second to mortal, confirm forge (can be quite finicky). It'll confirm you want that pack and done. Easy simple area to keep them in

you could try the video in the pinned comment, long story short is there's some mods that have been added that are incompatible, vivecraft has a somewhat updated list and even some fixes to the bad mods

Vivecraft Forge simply doesnt work for me it isnt even willing to open when i have no mods on forge installed and my PC is VR-ready I dont know whats happening ive multiple times tried to fix it but it wont budge so i cant do modded sadly unless you have a fix for this

I'm not too sure what the issue would be. I'd suggest double checking the pinned comment, I think we found out an issue to solve some type of crash. Otherwise if you tried that or it doesn't apply to your situation, I'd suggest trying WITH a modpack, so you can follow along the video exactly, and then if that works, you could always try removing all the extra mods from the pack so that you can just play normally. I should probably try to figure out how to do it without mods for a video, but I thought there was an official version for vanilla. Or is the issue that it's only for bedrock?

That's an interesting question but I actually don't know. I would think that the Vivecraft devs would have to figure out a way to have their mod be available on curseforge, rather than an installer. So my guess would be no (maybe you could suggest that to curseforge! They may be able to add vivecraft as a feature on their installer and get some better collaboration happening.)

what modpack version are you using so i know which forge version is compatible cause none of this is working i got half way through one attempt but 4 mods error-ed out so its def vivecraft only working with certain forge versions so you have to play the modpack version that supports that super curious which ones you're using.

Any recommendations on decent modpacks that work with vivecraft? I spent a few hours trying to get stuff like MC Eternal Lite and whatnot to work but they all crash at various points (startup or upon world creation) for MC Eternal Lite it would start to load me into the world then drop an error and kick me to the multiplayer screen.

I’ve successfully played with vivecraft on All the mods 6 and all the mods 6 to the sky in the past. I haven’t done so in a long time but I would assume they still work, and they’re quite big modpack so they should hopefully have the content you’re after.

Do not use vivecraft on minecraft servers unless they tell you that you can. Vivecraft has some features mainly the teleport feature that would be considered cheating my most minecraft servers. It also allows you to hit things that are behind you which would also be banned on most minecraft servers

I will say from what you’re saying I feel like that’s what this tutorial should already cover though? I actually very recently made a tutorial for installing curseforge and modpacks. You could see if it happens to solve your issue? You might want to double check that you don't already have it installed too. A common issue is incompatible mods, on the vivecraft website they have a list of different mods, you should probably look through there, and if you’re lucky they sometimes provide alternative mods that can be switched in place to make it work

Double check you're on the right website, maybe even update your malware prevention software. None of mine light it up as being a virus but I probably don't have the very latest version at this point either, assuming they've updated it since this video came out.
