No problem at all, I figured it would be easier for me to show in a video. Sometimes it’s hard to explain when typing it. On the super beetles theyre at 12 o’clock though. I don’t know why they ever changed the positioning. I think it’s much harder to bleed them off when they are not at 12 o’clock.

If you take the brake shoe springs off while they are under tension, I suggest using eye protection. I don't know how I did it, but when I was re-doing brakes on my '69 Beetle, somehow a spring hit my face.....no harm done, but it could have been nasty.

Yes, on the earlier years like this, they are at three, and nine. I swear my super beetle was at 12 o’clock for sure.

I need those retaining clips for the adjuster stars, I can only find them at one place anyone have any insight where else I can find them?

I have an issue with my cars brakes. When I go to adjust them, all 4 positions, there is a tight spot in the rotation. I got some new drums for at least the rear, and I changed all the wheel bearings but still have the tight spots. Not sure what is causing them, and the best way to set up the shoes. Any ideas??

I’m actually doing a video for next Friday on proper brake shoe adjustment. I’m trying to do that before I switch over to disc. It almost sounds like one of your other two drums may be out of round? It’s hard to diagnose online. But it sure sounds like it.

Thanks Slade ---- but ---- I gave Heather my Tuition Fee ---- and went on down to Joe's Bar N Grill ------ Well --- you were on the screen there ----- BUT --- I noticed one thing and had to hurried back for the seminar -------- at the point of getting a car on the Jack Stands ---- don't just think it is ok when you set it down ------- SHAKE THAT MOTHER ----- make sure it is nestled in good on those stands ------ I lost a good friend to where the small truck came down off the jack stands and onto his chest and killed him --------- Another ----- TIP --- the three surfaces where you put the Anti-seize on per shoe ------ if they are ---- NOT ---- a smooth flat surface ( maybe a valley or ridge developing ) take a small die grinder with a disc and smooth off each pad --------- Another ---- TIP ---- IF there is a NICK or GOUGE on the spindle ---- take a --- FINE STONE --- or small fine tooth file ( points file ) ---- and JUST kiss the spot were nick or gouge is till smooth ---- only the spot nothing else ----------- So --- I'm ----GLAD ---- I came back ---- Heather can keep my Admission Fee -- that's ok ---- the Video was well worth the cost ------ Thank You ------Take Care --- And see Ya on your next one ----- Rodney

Then again that could be my age. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Thank you so much my friend! I’m sorry that you lost someone that way. That is very sad. I’ve heard of the best of the best sometimes having cars come down on them, and it always shocked me. I do give a shake, to the car just like you explain. But I try to be careful what I put on video, my luck somebody with shake their car off the stands 🤦🏼‍♂️ Haha!! I would have went to the grill with you!!! Peace my brother
