The main reason I've always been an apartment dweller is the fear & cost of maintenance, especially being a single woman. Now that I'm semi-retired & seasoned, I'm really getting that itch to become a homeowner. I'm very grateful for your videos Ron, thank you so much!👌🏽💖

Hey Ron, love those faucet. I'm glad the water pressure changed for you. That low water pressure would've turned me off from that kind of faucet at first. Cute but not practical. I'm use to a fast water pressure. Always learn something new from you Ron. TFS Have a great day. 👍

There should be better water pressure coming out of the spout. Look up other videos of waterfall faucets & you'll see what I mean. I've found that most new kitchen & bathroom faucets have a very thin water restrictor in either the aerator at the tip or inside the cartridge that regulates hot & cold water (thank the EPA for that). Some are so thin they are clear and barely perceptible. I just use a small screwdriver or jewelers screwdriver and remove them. That always increases the water pressure better. It says waterfall faucet because that is the way the water is supposed to look, like a waterfall with water coming out the full width of the spout. I would pull the faucet out and remove the water restrictor film in the cartridge or internal aerator. It may look like a washer with a black rubber edge or just be a thin clear film that comes off easily by prying with the corner of a very small screwdriver.

Two problems - when you tightened the water lines to the water valves, you didn't hold onto the metal sleeve above the connector nut. As your video shows, the entire lines get twisted which can cause a kink in the interior rubber water line. Some even use a surgical type tubing. These twists can narrow the interior water tubing and reduce water pressure. The correct way to install the lines at the valves is to use a small pliers or needle nose vise grips to hold the sleeve in one place While you are tightening the nut with your wrench. My buddy did this & the rubber tubing under the metal braid finally burst being under improper tension by the twisted water line. Second, all these faucets have water restrictors in them. I always take them out when installing faucets.
@rontalley Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input. Have to go back and watch to see what you were referring to when tightening. Didn’t run into any issues. 10-4 on the restrictor. After a couple of days, we got much better flow…Have no idea why.
@JudgeBuster Жыл бұрын
@@rontalley Look at your video where you were tightening the water lines to the cut off valves. Although you sped up the video at that point, it was still obvious what was happening. But all it takes is just a few turns of the water line when tightening the nut to get the lines twisted up or kinked. The result is lowered water pressure at the faucet. But you should have a better spout flow for that type of faucet. Glad to help you by sharing my on the job experience with kitchen & bathroom faucets

@JudgeBuster Жыл бұрын
The low water pressure flow is due to the water restrictor under the valve cartridge in the faucet head. The video below shows how another homeowner fixed the low water flow by removing the water restrictor. Others are in the aerators at the faucet spout that screw off. Sometimes it appears as just a very thin clear film with lots of tiny holes. You can just use the corner of a screwdriver tip to scrape them off. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXLJZYWup7pkfZo

@@rontalley You're welcome. Just type in the search box: "Waterfall faucet demonstration" & you'll get other videos where people had the same water flow problem with the exact same type of bathroom faucets. There's plenty of YT videos showing how to remove the water restrictors from waterfall & other type faucets. Good luck.
