Young man, from this old man, you did a great job. First you, thoroughly, covered every detail of the process, with patience, clarity, and clean-cut understanding and confidence of what you're doing. Usually few older (I mean maturity wise) -Please, don't take it as me patronizing you in any sense- men show such precision in their instructions. Then you, not only showed us what to do, but gave us a small "why" in between. That is very constructive and respectful of your listeners and to your listeners. You saved the day! Called Lenovo support and they told me to drive two hours to an authorized Lenovo repair place and that either my motherboard or hard drive would have to be replaced. And that it was three weeks out of warranty so there was nothing they could do to help. Instead, watched a series of your videos, followed all the steps and it's up & running. Luckily I was able to get in to save some important docs and pics to a flash drive after a long, long wait. But I picked up a new HD, threw it in, and followed your instructions. Try plugging in different slots and try your usb on another device to see if it is working or being detected. I had that problem too, but i deleted what i had installed on the usb (on another computer) and installed again the windows 10(on the usb). Then i plugged it in my non working computer and it finally saw it...

​@Los Blancos Hi. How did you solve this. Installed was interrupted. Unfortunately, I had also unplugged USB at the wrong time. And also tried install while in Legacy mode. Result is: I'm stuck in enless loop from "Your computer encountered a problem and needs to restart" (at 1st attempts) to "Your pc couldn't start properly error code 0xc000001" (2d attempts) with the F1 to F9 options. None of them working and Safe Mode ending with "Windows cannot complete installation in safe mode. To continue installing windows restart computer". So I'm stuck in a loop. Can't see the USB drive in Boot Menu or BIOS Legacy available options. My EFI section is now empty in BIOS (listed my HD before interrupted install). My HD is now in list of options for Legacy. Any suggestion from someone in the same situation or expertise is welcome

Yep, works great. Did that following the '' Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed'' blue window. You can see it there: (How To Fix Lenovo No Boot Device, Boot Device Not Found, No Bootable Device, Exiting PXE ROM). But... no one in the comment section or in the video warned me that this action would ERASE EVERYTHING. I lost everything.

Bravo, I appreciate the didactic overview instead of the general ambiguity, with music, of the others and I mostly appreciate your mention of turning off Big Brother, most people would simply accept it, including email tracking. If more people opt out of this rubbish we won't need laws, it'll just go away. I use Linux and was setting up Win10 on a machine and was flabbergasted by all the linkages to the Mothership! I see in the replies that someone had the same issue as me about getting caught in an installation loop, or black screen. I can't get a good installation on m,y t500 though I did on t61, I think it's graphics driver or something, but don't know. It works fine on Linux though..:P

The Lenovo 430s I have is in bios to osystem with the Creation Tool that’s now gave up,now I start it just goes to disk cleaner on a Loop. I have a lenovoyw/Station on stand by for a simple way to get my laptop back for my DJ Decks as it is SOLID 4 Hours plugged-in with a new Battery & RAM & next cos this a SSD ASAP as if it’s failing in this check disk it must be done Probs. Really appreciate your work. I will have to replace the HDD on mine because after I did everything in the video, it still did not work. When I opened it, I see it has a HDD and an SSD drive. Which one should I replace? Does the operating system go on the HDD?

You can install the OS to whatever one you wish :) I usually like having it on the SSD if I have the option as its usually faster :)

Hi just wanna ask. does delete the partition will delete all data in the hard disk? since I'm installing windows on a new fresh SSD, replacing the the old hdd. and the previous HDD i put as secondary storage. Anyways hella lit video mate. fire stuff, welldone

Yes, deleting the partition will delete the data stored there :)

Some computer, mostly the newer ones, will usually pull that from the computer itself upon install. If not, you will have to enter it manually. You can see how to check that, and where to enter it if needed at the end of this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/omSkh3qii7yIqas

Hi, I was advised to do a Windows 10 reset keeping my files and my Lenovo has got stuck in a restart loop. I'm not sure what part of the reset this has happened in, I don't know if windows 10 is installed yet or not but have done the BIOS legacy change from your previous video, which didn't have an effect so I am here. What do you recommend? I don't want to lose my files, any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

At this point there is a chance your operating system could be a bit messed up. I would advise either trying the reset again, or performing a new install of Win10. However, unless you do it correctly, you could loose your data. You would have to save the partition that the data is located in. If you know how to do that then go for it. If not, try hooking up the hard drive to another working computer and getting the data off that way before attempting another reset or Windows install.

@@c1nd985 The USB is to use on another computer. If you are wanting to upgrade your computer that your using, just select the 'Upgrade' option. No need for a USB

Hi, when I get to the part where I have to delete he partitions it says, we couldn't find any drives. Should I go back and continue with the upgrade option instead of custom? I kept trying and some portions showed but they said I couldn't delete due to error 0x800701b1 Sometimes It doesn't let me delete the partitions however sometimes it does but after 2% of installing files it say windows files cannot be installed Can you help please. Hi I'm having problem installing win10 on my lenovo idealpad 320. I just bought an ssd and tried installing but everytime i finished installing after reboot it always give me blue screen which says "Recovery - your PC/Device needs to be repaired. Error 0xc0000001. I don't know if there's a problem with the ssd or something because I've formatted before and I'm not having this problem. I need help on this very badly.
