@CoveWolf2 ай бұрын
It’s worth it for things like gaming. You’re running Windows on real hardware so you will get the full performance. Parallels VM is fine for running productivity apps but it will be bad for gaming since you won’t get the full performance of your Mac since you have share resources with MacOS.

Hello! Sorry to hear you're having issues. Did you download the latest Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft or did you use the ISO I linked from *Archive.org* in the pinned comment? I ask because the newest ISO since the release of this video has been known to cause some compatibility issues with Macs.

Hihi im currently trying to install, went through the first steps completely fine until the actual setup to install windows. It keeps giving me an error message saying “ Windows cannot locate the disk and partition in the unattended answer file’s setting. Make sure the setting references a valid partition and restart the installation. “ now I have restarted for the second time since reading other comments having the same issue. It still gave me the error and now I’m having issues returning back to my Mac a bit as well as I’m currently typing this, it was asking for a password to enter? And then white screens after I enter the password. I’m thinking it returns but it’s not doing that anymore and now I’m afraid I broke my MacBook by doing this process. Any help?
@sabotage934113 күн бұрын
Adding to this now. I’m now really scared because my computer won’t go back to the original macOS at all. It keeps letting me unlock using my password for the HD , once I click unlock, it appears to try to restart and then glitches to a white screen for a second and then sends me back in a loop again to the password menu to unlock the HD again. In the top left corner it has the options for a restart, shut down or a setup something. I click that setup thing and it doesn’t have anything useful other than telling me to target restart but now I’m afraid to pretty much click anything. I for now shut it down completely since it’s late but I’m really scared I have now damaged my Mac by trying to download windows from bootcamp…. Edit: just wanted to preface by also saying I have a MacBook Pro 2019

It won’t work unfortunately. M-Series MacBooks like yours can’t run Windows using this method. It would require an x86 or intel processor to work. You could try running a VM using something like Parallels. But there is no way to natively run windows using boot camp on a M2 Mac.

Hi there! I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. It should work on a 2020 MacBook Air, assuming it is using an Intel CPU. If it is using an M1 CPU, then it will not work. As for the USB flash drive, yes, this is required, as the only way Rufus will work is by writing the Windows 11 installer to a flashdrive. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

What model of Mac do you have? If you install windows 10 on your Mac first you could then download the windows 11 iso and Rufus by downloading them on windows 10. The reason you have to do it like that is because windows 11 won’t install normally like windows 10 would as Mac’s aren’t normally compatible. I hope this helps and don’t hesitate to ask questions!
