Thanx for your help Robert. I have been going nuts trying to get Win XP on my Asus Eee. I have the same model as you and now after following you it's now installing. I have downloaded the drivers and after the setup is done i will copy them to the usb and install.

@patkane50 lets just say, I tried that maybe 10 times, and it did not work. It would seem obvious to select that as the bootup, but for some odd reason it ignores the USB and goes straight to the HD. It may be a NetBook thing, or, it may be that the software did not place a bootable file on the USB....who knows.

@mmatic2 Just do what works for you. This is something I had to do on this netbook in order to install windows, however, you may not have to. Just try to install windows and see what happens. Basically, I figured this out from trial and error, so sorry I cannot be much more help about that, but that's what I did to figure this out.

@taksa123456 Well you should at least be able to boot up into the bios of your netbook. Formatting your hard drive has nothing to do with your bios. Your bios are usually hard coded in your motherboard which makes it hard to screw that up unless you flash it incorrectly. If you have a regular copy of winXP on a CD, I would recommend visiting Best Buy/Walmart and buy an external CD drive and installing it that way. Then take the external drive back when you are done with it :D

Just a thought for getting wifi fast. Purchase a Mini USB Wifi Adapter 150Mbps Wireless Network Dongle. Plug it into a USB port. It comes with its own drivers if needed. Most times it just works without doing anything. They cost less than $10

You'll also might install Windows XP Netbook Edition on an EEEPC with 9000Mhz Celeron and 1GB of RAM. The Netbooks Edition of Windows XP's ISO size is 177MB and It is very slimmed down, WMP9, IE6 and OE6 kept. No Rover ;( But at least try a Windows XP Computer or VM! You can alternatively use Rufus.

Yes! Its took me 24hrs to Reformat and Re-install fresh new Operating System of Compaq Mini 110c 1100SO. No CD-ROM , NO Floppy Drive and NO SATA Driver. Try to solved it by my self. Thank you Google and specially to this video Uploaded by RobertSmith3. The Netbook does have SATA driver so there is a problem detecting HDD when installing WIN OS, Good thing I have Macally USB Floppy Disk Drive. I downloaded the SATA Controller driver and Extract to Floppy Diskette using USB Floppy Drive, :)

Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. After press "ESC" and choose USB, in apears a black screen with a white list: 1) 1st, text mode setup (boot from flash again after finished) 2) 2nd Gui Mode setup 3) Debug, in case of Hal.dll or ntoskirnl.exe 4) Debug boot rDsik 1 partition 2.. idem until partition 4. 5) debug boot rDsik 2 partition 1..etc until 4 I tried all options and system crash... PD:My problems come from I changed resolution screen at maxium and windows screen turns blue..I'd tried Error mode, etc..but not works. :(
