It's the second video about ES335 wiring I've seen. I have decided to build an SG clone.

great job!!! amazed to see this done w/o taping off the top more for protection OR checking the pickups until they were installed - "walking-the-tightrope without a net"! thank you for posting :)

Gibson ES are my favourite guitars, so I worked on them hundreds of times. There's no need to attach a string to every pot. I only attach two strings, one to the output jack and the other to the Neck Tone pot. All of the other parts can easily be manoeuvred though the f-hole just by using fingers.

I suppose that depends on how big your fingers are.

I really like the way this turned out. Well, I mean visually. You know your stuff so I think it’s going to sound like a 335 should. Including the feedback in high gain if too close to the cabinet

Thanks for the lesson! personally I think you have to test the pickups before introducing the harness .. you can never be too careful ;-)

You made your own tail piece and bridge? I hope you can show the process of creating the parts. Thank you!
@8BombCustom2 жыл бұрын
Right now I only make tailpieces. Perhaps in the future I will show the process on Patreon. But for now, I'm working on the technology.

I suppose he made a hole into the back of the guitar, reached inside and put the potis right under their wholes before he showed how he pulled them out. There is no other way this could be so easy.

There's nothing quite like rewiring a ES-335 type guitar, you need plenty of patience.
