Thanks Enrique, also do consider learning about using cPanel if not done so already. Small cost considering web hosting packages of today, and then, you can get familiar with how webpages load, cPanel options and how WordPress works on a server (much easier learning curve) compared to learning about #WordPress on #Windows 10 Operating system

Hi, I get this error trying to install WordPress: Error establishing a database connection This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down. Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure the database server is running? Does anyone know how to fix it? Credentials are right, but still nothing. I'm using wamp64 btw..

Could be many things Isabelle. Best option if WordPress is installed on Windows 10 OS, is to add this in wp-config.php file = // This enables debugging. define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); To see if error report is shown which may indicate the problem. If you have AntiVirus or Security Plugins, they may also cause this (perhaps *pause* them a few minutes to troubleshoot)

Hello there i have question ,, i lost my website because i moved from one host into another ,, i tried to get full cpnael but the last host keep giving me wrong type of files so my subscription expire with them so i wasn't able to enter my old cpanel so i decided to start from the beginning but my problem is i keep find the old urls result on google so what should i do to remove it from their and not look like i have two websites because i need to make new urls for the new WordPress like home blog about ,, so how can i fix this ?

That's really bad isn't (losing everything and have to start over again). Basically, there is many options to resolve the results in Google search. In your case, its 301's because the domain name is same, but the URL structure has changed. Meaning, whatever URL structure has changed, then 301 for those only. When old URL are shown in Google, for example: example.com/about/ AND your new setup has the SAME URL for this page. Then, do NOTHING because Google will re-index the new website and its content. But remember, this is IF YOURDOMAIN.COM has NOT changed *because if the domain has changed* then you must use the site address tool in Search Console

For typical pages such as about us, contact us privacy policy terms of use (perhaps service areas etc.) you do NOT 301 because the URL structure will be the same. For URL structure that is now changed. For example: example.com/sampleoldURL is now example.com/sampleNEWURL which has SAME/OR/SIMILAR content, you do 301. The rest you can ignore unless you have good baclinking to some OLDURL (if so, you have 2 options) put out content and make the OLDURL come to live on your new website. OR, use 301 to redirect the OLDURL to some page on your site which has same/similar content. This is the best option for such case. Also, remember that you can triple check the way back machine to see if you can recover your old content web.archive.org/

If you ever stuck after changing password in the privileges section: delete and re-install, repeat all the steps through changing password after "Edit Privileges -> Change Password", then you go to "Login Information" to make sure all the details there are correct by typing it again and "Go", then back to 'XAMPP Control Panel' -> "Apache -> Config -> phpMyAdmin (config.inc.pgp) -> in the notepad make sure all the details are the same as you typed before especially the password part in $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'it-was-empty-and-you-should-type-your-just-added-pw-here'; and save (Ctrl-s) and exit and Done
