My window slide from left to right. And the height of the window is about 56 inches. This viode seems few years old. I have ordered a unit in 2023, but I am not sure if it will fit my 56inches tall window. Can you please help?

how do you set it to a certain temperature without it changing back to what it was before ?

Typically, press mode, press cooling (making an assumption because it's hot out), set you fan to medium, then your temperature decrease symbol to approximately 4-6 degrees cooler than the ambient room temperature. The unit should kick in and cool the room.

I need a replacement exhaust hose. Is it 5 or 5.9 in diameter? It’s held together with duct tape right now so I can’t measure it myself without having to undo all of it.

exhaust hoses on Hisense single-hose units are approximately 5.9" Diameter by 59" in length.

Without having somewhere to vent the warm air out of, the unit will not work to sufficiently cool the room - you are certainly free to run the unit - it will work, but the unit will run warm while operating and the warm air and the cool air will likely cancel each other out rather than making the room feel cooler.

Hi, there - sure can. Our included window kits can fit with most horizontal or vertical sliding windows 18" to 50" (standard single-hose units) or 25" to 50" (dual hose units). The only thing we can't work with at this time is crank windows.

I just bought a this portable air conditioner and it does not fit in a 28inch window due to overlap with whole opening.

We're not sure what you mean. The included window kit of a single hose portable air conditioner should fit most horizontal or vertical sliding windows 18" to 50". If you purchased a dual hose unit, it's 25" to 50". If you have a very unique design of your window, you may need a third party adapter.

Yes! Hisense window kits are designed to fit with vertical or horizontal SLIDING (not crank) windows 18" to 50".

In Canada, in consultation with our retailers, the decision was made to only provide a kit for sliding windows. We do not sell crank window accessories at this time. You can likely find something to accommodate your window at a retailer like Amazon, Home Hardware, Home Depot or Rona. As we use an industry-standard exhaust hose, it shouldn't be difficult to find kits.

Measure your crank window opening, get 3/4 thick plywood. Cover opening with the plywood, hold in with gorilla tape or other type of adhesive. Make cut on bottom of plywood to allow hose adapter part to fit

We're sorry to hear that. The included window kit is designed to fit most windows. In some cases, if your configuration has different needs, you may need to investigate purchasing a third-party adapter window kit or a different exhaust hose - the width of ours is industry standard.

All Hisense Portable Air Conditioners are designed to be waterless - in that they should not require draining under normal usage circumstances. The warm air condensation will be evaporated out the exhaust hose through the window. In some cases when it is extremely humid or the unit is being run constantly around the clock, the unit will display an e5 error and the unit will turn off until the reservoir is emptied. You can also attach a standard drain hose to the bucket for continuous draining out a floor drain.

Where can I buy the window kit? I just have the AC unit by itself that I got from a friend of mine, but I need the adapter, coupling, sliders, rivets, screws, window-lock bracket and foam seals. I contact Hisense but they only have like 2 parts from the above; my HISENSE AC model is AP13HR1G. I live in Los Angeles, Ca. Thank you very much.

Mine is registering an e5 code what does that mean

e5 means the bucket is full and you have to empty is. Once you empty it, you need to turn off and on the unit to reset the error light and reset the unit.

It's on wheels so there is a bit of wiggle room. Additionally, many customers purchase a secondary window kit for easy moving and installation room to room.

What are you supposed to do if the window is just barely bigger than the insert itself? Adding a slider makes it too large. Do I have to cut this stuff?

HI there - our included window kit will fit most 18" to 50" horizontal or vertical sliding windows. If yours doesn't fit perfectly you have a few options: you can try cutting it down, or you can get an adapter from another retailer that better fits with your unique sized window.

@@HisenseCA My window is 28" and your insert is 24.5", so I only need 3" of extension. The smallest extension blocks the closest hole when I slide it to size. Suggestion for the next model: make the slider compatible with the way the tubes click into the insert -- it should be simple to add a quarter inch of clearance down the middle of the track.

If you require additional window kit pieces, you can either reach out to the customer service team to request a second window kit, or you can purchase a window kit adapter from Amazon or another hardware store as our window kit sizes are fairly universal and will fit with most other third-party kit pieces.

Your sliders don't fit 18" to 50". My window falls in between the smallest slider and the next size up. The window is too big for the small slider and the medium slider overlaps the hole for the vent at the right width. For $400 I shouldn't have to cut pieces to make them work or get something from a 3rd party. Seriously, it's something extremely simple to design and include, and it's ridiculous that your product missed it.

Which unit did you purchase? All of our single hose portable air conditioners are designed to fit most sliding windows 18-50". There will always be outliers. But our dual hose unit has different specs. All of the up to date specs should be on the product page of our website to ensure our customers are properly informed before they buy. If there is an error I would be happy to have it corrected with product management. Please share more information. How big are your windows and which unit do you have?

She is right. Makes no sense. Comes with 4 window pieces. One 9 inch one I don't get the use of and 3 18" that only 2 seem usable. But of course of video not showing going to 50 inches

Barbara Horton Hi Barbara, my unit started to leak badly into the room. Called the company who said nothing can be done and too bad your one month out of warranty. I did figure out that the unit has to be completely level so I dealt with that and bought a plastic tray and it was ok fir the last few weeks of summer-we’ll see about 2020-They make crap to break these days- it’s so discouraging-just FYI

I agree with that! They make it look so easy. It’s not that easy to assemble. The hose is the problem. Mine is all worn out and will no longer connect to the other parts.

These window kits are garbage. We're trying to cool a room and these kits are 1/16" thick platic. You can feel the heat from outside through the plastic and there's no insulation provided. They also don't fit well with older windows, which is likely where these are needed the most.
