Good news! My roof installer has offered to remove and reinstall my King Jack antenna, hooking it up per the instructions and respraying the roof afterwards. I can't say enough good things about the company. They acknowledged the problem and are making it right. You can't ask for more!

The company is RV Roof. They install the FlexArmor spray on roof system, which has a lifetime warranty. The location I used was New England RV Roof in Plainville, MA. Ask for Jim!

I can't git my KING JACK antenna to work on my RV TV and I've done everything but exchange it?!What am I doing wrong?

I recently had a new spray on roof installed on my RV, and upgraded my systems with new antennas, skylights, etc. I replaced my "bat wing" antenna with a new King Jack OA8500. The installer neglected to connect the RV coax cable to the antenna before mounting it to the roof, and spraying on the new roofing material. My only access to the antenna internals now is through the ceiling, which will require enlarging the opening for access to attempt connecting the coax cable. Has anyone done this, and can you offer guidance or suggestions on how to do a "clean" install? Thanks!

Wow, Sorry to hear that James. Unfortunately that is going to be a tough situation. I'd recommend getting in contact with the installer to see if they can resolve this issue. Beyond that the best thing I would suggest is cutting around the spray installation where it meets the antenna and lifting it up that way, if you do that make sure you use a roof sealant that is going to adhere to the spray coating as well as the plastic. That is a tricky situation and I'd definitely recommend getting in contact with the installer first to resolve the issue.

I just watched this video twice. Where does the coax connection to the TV go/ come from?

The TV ant connection goes to either TV 1 output on the front of the wall plate or TV 2 output on the back of the wall plate.

@@Kingconnect123 I checked every connection to the antenna in the RV. Either the installation is missing the amplifier or it's hidden in the ceiling where I can't access it. Very frustrating indeed

@@Kingconnect123 I understand. The problem appears to be at the 75 ohm coax connection to the antenna which is in the ceiling. I've called a few times. Very nice folks.

Hi Patrick, yes, the antenna heads are slightly different but the installation is the same.

Yes, this antenna needs to be mounted.
