How to install Zabbix on Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS

Hi everyone,
In this video I'll show you how to install Zabbix monitoring system on Ubuntu server 20.04LTS. I'll also install Zabbix agent on Ubuntu Desktop as an example of this system.
Visit Zabbix webpage at www.zabbix.com to check its latest features, integrations, applications compatibility among other features.
Before you start this tutorial, please install apache2 and php on yout server. Use the following command:
apt install apache2 php libapache2-mod-php

Hi, thank you for the tutorial, but I have an error in the zabbix dashboard which says that "zabbix server is not running: the information displayed my not be current" and then in system information "value = NO" instead by YES. Can you help me please.

I get this error what can I do? Connection to Zabbix server "localhost" refused. Possible reasons: 1. Incorrect server IP/DNS in the "zabbix.conf.php"; 2. Security environment (for example, SELinux) is blocking the connection; 3. Zabbix server daemon not running; 4. Firewall is blocking TCP connection. Connection refused

This video helped me alot, thanks man, my question is, I have a UBuntu server in a predominatly windows environment but i am running zabbix server on the ubuntu system and would like to monitor my windows devices as well, how do i achieve that, Do i add the windows machines as anyother host and do i have to install zabbix-agent on the windows machines?

How do I get my ip for my zabbix server?

Hi, Do you mean, how yto set an IP address on your server? It should be a static IP address inside your local network. Check my video on how to install Ubuntu Server for example where I show how to set manually an IP address on a network interface. It is the same for enp0s3 or any other interface. Regards, RSM

If zcat part gives you an issue be sure to apt install zabbix-sql-scripts (and update) and do sudo zcat /usr/share/doc/zabbix-sql-scripts/mysql/server.sql.gz | mysql -u zabbix -p zabbixdb
