Yes Johnathan, the two white plastic bushings on the main pivot of the factory shifter , in your video I saw a glimpse of the factory shifter when you pulled it out of your car. Right after you got the shift cables disconnected.

I have that Viper Shifter in my Pro R 4 ultimate mine is Red and Black.

Did you use the plastic bushing from the factory shifter? That holds the shifter in place. At the pivot. I didn't see you install them so that is why I ask. You need them to keep it tight and prevent ware to the shifter.

I did not. I used every part that came off the old shifter and into the new shifter. You have a part of reference you're talking about?

I have a 2018 1000 XP. My gears are worn out, There’s no detents from park all the way back to High gear, so I have a hard time finding the gear that I want to go into. It’s almost a “Grind em to find em” situation. Will this shifter help me?

Unfortunately no this sounds more like you have a bent shift fork internally. On those transmissions they have failures on their bearings and it can make everything out of line and then eventually blow through the side of the case. Also a bent shift fork can cause this as well. There's two forks inside the transmission that the assembly pushes up and down. If one of them is bent, then this could cause a problem of grinding gears. Kind of hard to tell until the transmission is taken apart. Although with all that said. First thing I would do is pull off the side cover where the linkage goes into. There is a piece in there that looks like a puzzle piece. It has a spring on it so be careful when taking it apart. But you could also have lost the spring or that piece could be broken. If you're sliding it from Park to high. That piece is what notches you into each spot. If that piece is broken. It won't feel like you're notching into any single gear if that makes sense. Hope any of this information helps. I build a ton of transmissions so if you need, you can private message me your phone number and I'll walk you through it.
