BIG THANKS, Rachel, for your instructional video: How To: Installing Roger On iN Receivers! There are several videos on KZbin showing the PAIRING of hearing aids WITH the Roger On iN mic. But yours is the only video I found that demonstrated the INSTALL process of transfering licenses (a.k.a., receivers) INTO hearing aids first. It’s indeed a TWO-step process. First: Install. Second: Pairing. With your direction, Rachel, I successfully installed the licenses into my KS10s and then paired with my KS10s. All in about 10 minutes for a first-timer!

Rachel, thank you so much for this video. Phonak does not seem to feel moved towards providing these instructions. Certainly not anywhere nearly as clearly as you do. Your video saved me a lot of grief. Other clips I watched didn't say to tap the install button to see how many recievers were on the Roger ON IN device. I held it for 2 or more seconds and when I didnt see 2 on the display(indicating the device had the 2 recievers I was told it had) 😢I assumed the seller was trying to screw me until I saw your clip. I tapped the install button for a fraction of a second with the unit on and the 2 appeared. Then I installed them into my fathers HAs and he loves it so far.

Thank you so much! Amazing clarity in your instruction. If your roger On in were to show 0 receivers installed, and you do not have access to the original hearing aids, is it possible to reset the Roger on in, back to 2? Thank you!

Disregard, I beleive I've got it figured out. As I understand it, I am going to need to connect the ON device to an upgrade software which I am able to 'redownload' the software up to 5x. I will give it a try. Thank you again for the great video and explanation!

Rachel, thank you for this helpful video. I had a question about RogerOn license transfer to a Marvel processor. Once the license has been transferred to a Marvel, can it be reversed? What if I have to replace the Marvel processor with another one? How can I then transfer license that was in the old Marvel to the new one? Worse yet, what if the old Marvel with license is lost? Can I still transfer the license to the replacement Marvel?

If there are other Marvel/Paradise line hearing devices in the vicinity, it is advised that all other devices be turned off or removed from the immediate area during the installation and pairing process. Thanks for watching!!

If we both are wearing hearing aids and sitting at a conference table together, and we both have previously programmed to our own Roger On device, can we use them at the same time, will there be feedback, static, or none working issues with them. Do we put both Roger Ons on the table, or tables across from each other, so we can hear everything being said, or do we only use one, or what?

@@calwolfe3883 You have 2 options - each use your own Roger On independently as desired or you can both pair up to the same Roger On and be hearing the exact same thing. Actually, you could also both pair to the same Roger On transmitter and then link the two transmitters together to create a network. So a few options to choose from.

Hi Rachel! Thank you for your videos. Very helpful! OK, my question is, can you add a Roger Pen 1.1 to a Roger On, as a second microphone (or as a network)? I have a Roger pen already and have a Lumity and Roger On IN on the way.

Yes - all Roger transmitters can be networked together. Just know that only one microphone can be actively transmitting at any given time.

Hi, I tried this but isn’t working! Do I need to see the audiologist to turn the licensing on? This is my first Roger iN with my Sky CI

You shouldn't need the audiologist to enable anything as RogerDirect is enabled by default. However, it is possible that the feature was turned off. I hope you were able to get it functioning! Thanks for watching!

I have a Roger Pen and not a Roger On. I have the new Marvel processor. My audiologist has installed the receiver in the processor. She told me to put on the Roger Pen and then press the connect button below. However, it is not working. I am wondering if I have to pair to Bluetooth because this is a new processor.

As long as the receivers are installed in your Marvel processor, you should be able to press the pair/connect button (looks like the chain link) and then hold it right next to your processor for it to connect. It needs to be less than 4 inches away. Sometimes it works best to actually touch the Roger Pen to the processor after pressing the pair button. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Only one side can use the microphone, correct?

If by "side" you mean ear, as long as you have Marvel or Paradise platform hearing equipment and you install a receiver on each side (or use a different platform with an external receiver), then the microphone can go to both ears. Thanks for watching!!

Hello Sue! Thanks for the question. I'm in Ohio and received the Roger On with my Advanced Bionics upgrade kit (it came with my CI processors). You can order through Phonak or your local audiologist/hearing aid fitter.

hi there. I've got Oticon Engage hearing aids and i was wondering if roger pen old or roger on will work with my hearing aids without a direct input shoe and with just the tcoil? cheers

Hi Kristy! Thanks for the question, while I am definitely not an expert with Oticon, I do believe if you use the Roger MyLink (it's a neckloop receiver) you would be able to utilize any of the Roger mics with your hearing aids on t-coil setting. Thanks for watching!

How do you get the receiver amounts back to 2 so I can restart the process?

You would follow the same process as installing the receiver in order to remove the receiver from the hearing device to put back into the Roger On.

Does this work at movie theaters?

If the theater offers assistive listening devices (the ones with the box that headphones plug into), you can unplug the headphones and then plug Roger On into the box in place of the headphones. You need to be sure to have the aux cord adapter for the Roger On. Thanks for watching!!
