behind the rubber boot there is a connector on the frame of the car and with a long flat head screwdriver its a matter of releasing the clip that seals the rubber connector. hope that can help 😁

Just a quick question you said that the doors can be fixed back to normal what about all the cut parts, how do you take it back to the normal opening when you've made some adjustments by cutting stuffs

The brackets that were cut to make room for the new Vertical door hinge are not crucial for the stock hinges to be bolted back on and can be alligned the same way to allow the car to open and close like it did from OEM.

So, you have to open the doors out before you can lift them up. Then you have to apparently make sure the opened doors are out before lowering them to close them. I had originally thought that they just opened up from a close position like a Lamborghini. Looks good. The owner of my gym has a C8 Stingray with scissor doors and I asked him how easily they went up and down. He said, his wife need two hands to pull it down while he can do it with one. Both of them are gym rat types so I wonder if he has a different brand of door mounts that his very strong wife would need two hands to pull it down.

What you are asking is impossible because of how the stock doors are. The vertical door kit is the next best kit.

What’s the point of getting these doors which open like a normal door (enough to let a person in and out) and then goes up? Unless your just parked with the doors open (which no ones does) I don’t see the point of getting these.

I would NEVER devalue my C8 by putting those rice doors on it. You don't see Ferrari, Huracan or Porsche owners installing this. Leave that for the kids cars. On a different note, is Sigala going to be making or selling a C8 Z06 low wing (carbon fiber) ? If so, I'd like to purchase one for my non Z06 C8 ..

I’m very confused with the point of these doors. How does this help ingress or egress. I think this falls under the saying, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I do think they did a very professional install. Well done in that regard. Cheers!

I see it like this. Lambo *STILL* puts vertical doors on their flagship, McLaren puts a variation on their models. There is NOTHING wrong with putting them on another mid engined sports car.

The ideal kit for me would be doors that work like the Koenigsegg's doors, called dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. That’s the ultimate way ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJOnmHyFZsRsgMksi=FX3OGcuudMAmINzz ) a door should work (in my opening. Short of this, I think the door should still be capable of fully opening to its max OE space when not swinging up to vertical.

Because those of us with big feet, keep kicking the door upon exiting, even when it’s wide open! Raising the door out of the way makes it easier to get in and out. I literally knock my door every time! Lol, if you have small feet or are smaller, you won’t have this issue. And it’s also a show piece for conversation at car meets.

Every aftermarket kit is like that. Because they weren’t designed with the necessary geometry to pivot straight upwards, they have to swing out to get clearance to go upwards.
