“Frolicking is for grown ups too”. Thanks for this quote. 💃🏻🕺🏼

OMG, you articulated why I couldn't stick with a "gratitude list" - that it feels like another chore and "anyone can sit down and write down a list of three things they're grateful for but it's the person who truly feels grateful who sits with that that is going to benefit from it so instead of just writing it down"

So many wonderful ideas. I suffer from chronic pain and I can no longer work, even part time, and I am limited in what I can do most days. I was so frustrated not being able to whatever I want or "need" to do. So accepting this has allowed me to not feel guilty if I'm resting etc. Having you spell it all out is what I needed.

Please repeat this every year! Frolic would be a great word of the year!

I spent the first 3 minutes trying to figure out what that guy on your sweater was doing and what else was written beneath the photo. Then I connected that the red shapes were guns…yippee.. Eureka! Bruce Willis & yippee-ki-yay = Die Hard. The new traditional Christmas movie!! 😂

Oh Laura. You’d love flylady routines. She’s very into self care ( including workout). on top of housework routines. She changed my life in lockdown. My house is shining 😂
@gnomentumАй бұрын
I found her routines far too much! I needed half an hour just to read all the daily emails 😬
@anyat686Ай бұрын
@ Lol. 😂 oh no. Don’t subscribe for emails. She’s mad as a box of frogs. 🐸 🥰 But the core routines are absolutely sound. So flylady and Marie Kondo. Made a massive difference. Of course so did Laura from get your shit together 😜😍

@@anyat686I unsubbed over 15 years ago and peeked in a couple of years back to see if things had improved any. You know when you walk in on something you really didn't want to see, and wish mind bleach existed? Yeah, that. But yeah, the basic principles are sound.

Give Diane in Denmark's channel a whirl, she's very succinct on fly lady routines.

Loving these videos ❤ lots of stuff we need to hear and help us calm down and actually enjoy our days ❤ My to do list at home always has go for a walk, keep on top of the dishes on it and maybe laundry or some tidying but also have a cup of coffee in fave mug and play fave video game. - having a mix really helps vary the day and keep joy and my focus and not all these have to dos that I don't want to do ❤ Me and my husband have also combined...and grown! Our Pokémon collection for example and it's lots of fun seeing them around the house. Little things really help keep the depression and sadness away! I'd rather be seen as childish or an adult child than a boring unfun sad adult that isn't me ❤

Can you make a video of a list of activities to do? what to do other than phone activities? You spoke of some good ideas in this video. I have been reducing my phone usage. In the morning since June I refuse to look at my phone for 1 hour. I have been trying to resist the urge to grab my phone when I have the impulse. So far I got my phone usage to 1.5 hr per day. Today I failed, I spent 5 hrs on my phone 😭.I just don't know what to do after I worked, home responsibilities and spending time with family. When I am by myself I don't know or when I am on vacation/days off. It's an embarrassing topic. I want to do better and I am finally going to ask for help this year.

I borrow books from my local library and try to read a fiction book every two weeks. Like, last evening after my kids were in bed, I chose to read instead of watch TV. It was lovely.
@carriepinkduckАй бұрын
I also crochet, embroider, and cross stitch but those aren't free like reading library books.

@carriepinkduck i mostly listen to audio books on yt while I cook or clean. I was hand crocheting a blanket, I put it to the side because I can't buy yarn.

Yeh guns was a bit sad to see but then I laughed my head off realising it's about Die hard and how it's Christmassy now 😂 In such a lovely video it's sad others see one negative and write I'm unsubscribing or whatever, like okay bye then ...don't have joy from Laura!
