Thanks for the video 👍. One tip to share...you mentioned that it was tough to get the top of that tin box because of having the can upside down, and tube reach... Use any length of nylon tubing you need to reach the tough spot (6"-12" in your case). Just get the size that tightly goes over the end of your spray tube. Cheers.

Foam sheets from home store come in various thicknesses, and can be fit within most cabinets. Cut out snug places and custom fill with spray foam, using wax paper overlay to custom shape the thickness where needed. Tip #2, leave a bar or two of irish spring soap in your cabinet... It keeps the spiders away!

I have a Calspa that has no foam but the manufacturer wrapped the inside with an insulation made of recycled material. I purchased some 2 inch foil faced rigid foam with an R 13 rating that I have installed between the framing. A 4 foot by 8 foot panel is currently $37 at my big box building supply store. I fit it in tight to minimize gaps and filled in where needed to avoid gaps. I did not want to use any spray foam and think the manufacture's wrap combined with my added foam board is an adequate solution. I have seen heavy duty insulated tarps that are used to help cure concrete that I thought could perhaps be put over a tub and might be something that could be used too.

This guy needs to see the inside of a Cal-Spa like we use up here in MN where it gets real cold. Anyway, the entire inside of a Cal-Spa is filled with foam except for the compartment with the pump and electronics. Good for insulation. Bad for finding leaks.

This guy has seen and worked on those spas filled with foam. The current problem here is cheap spas from China that have no foam at all. Not even on the shell. MRT

Hi Mark! You talk about leaks from the jets at 3:48. Would you have some tips and hints on how to fix them? I have a few water and air jets that are loosing a few drops every minute or so. Thanks!

Hi there. When jets leak from behind it is often because the jet body cracks where the pipes attach. When that happens you need to replace the jet bodies. How to Replace entire Spa Jet. Fix broken spa plumbing. reconnect Spa Jet kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXOtdWx7htp2p5I

Foaming around fittings/ pipes is less messy if you use a plastic wrap (bubble wrap?) barrier to guide the flow. Create a C shape with a length and apply the foam in the back , left to right, and guide the foam to the shape & thickness you want. Any "holidays" ( places you miss) can be filled in with a second application. Wear gloves, but the wax paper or plastic wrap keeps your hands clean(er) and let's you hand shape the form with it sticking. Two person jobs turn out better... A squirter and a shaper. Try not to compress the foam...it's the airpockets that offer the insulation!

you really need to use a pro foam gun and gun grade foam as its much easier to regulate , ive just goit my new 2021 spa and the insulation is a but rubbish underneath if im honest. However i want to add some jets in the spring so will probably go for rockwool or something similar for the time being. Good pointers on the heat loss thanks

putting foam just on the top of the pipe is not a complete job. The bottom of the pipe will transfer heat to the air as well. If your gonna insulate, then insulate
