Hi Dr. Nellie Deutsch, I have a problem with the plugin and I hope you can help me. I have a Business account (10 users with license) and I can perfectly integrate it in moodle...but...none of the 10 users, once created the meeting, can create the breakout rooms. it's like the function disappeared. Any idea why this happens? Thanks in advance Matteo

@@matteostra-le9507 Thank you for asking. I'm sorry you're having issues with the ZOOM plugin. If you're able to use the breakout rooms and your users with the licence are not, it means they only have co-hosting and not hosting rights. Have you added their emails to your ZOOM account and given them hosting rights as premium users not as basic? On the other hand, there may be a problem with your account. In that case, you may need to check with ZOOM tech support. I suggest you go into your account and chat with them. It may help to ask for sales support to get a human being to chat with. That's a trick I often use. They have a chat bot that's very annoying. Please let me know if option one works.

@@NellieDeutsch Thank you so much for your response. I solved it! In the end it was very very simple: the licensed users had not activated the "rooms" feature in their zoom account. Is there any way to have zoom meeting reports directly in moodle? e.g. know date/time of participants entering/leaving the meeting. I have tried to integrate zoom in moodle also with the MOODLE LTI app, without success. I've tried several times but it won't let me get into cosocloud anymore..so I have no idea how to do that. I also tried LTI PRO (LTI 1.1), but again without success. Can the plugin I have integrated do it for me? I'm only interested in the fact that all 10 users can create meetings (even at the same time) and have reports within the platform. thanks a lot for your availability :)

If you're getting error messages, you may wish to do the following: * Install the zoom plugin * Login phpmyadmin and delete the last 3 tables related to zoom, including mdl_zoom, mdl_zoom_meeting_details, mdl_zoom_meeting_participants. * Upgrade the zoom plugin to the latest version. The upgrade is successful this time. The error message should then no longer appear when you click on the zoom activity icon.

Hi, thanks for your videos! I've been reading the comments and understand that using the pro version only the admin of Moodle can link their zoom account but not multiple teachers. But what about purchasing multiple zoom pro accounts under a single Moodle account? Will that work for multiple teachers delivering simultaneous zoom sessions through Moodle? Or is it only education/business that works for that? Alternatively, what about using different pro accounts into a single Moodle site? That's impossible because of the different keys in the plugin? Thanks! I need Zoom for 9 teachers, only 5 of whom teach simultaneously and I wanted a cheaper alternative to buying a minimum of 10 business licenses for 200 USD. We've been using BBB but audio is deficient 😔 and we don't know which other platform to turn to considering that Moodle integration and breakout groups are a must. Any idea? Appreciate it in advance 😃

Thank you for your kind words. You can use Jitsi for free for all your teachers. It's free and available on the latest Moodle versions. I tried to see if purchasing multiple ZOOM accounts would work on one of my Moodle sites. It doesn't. IThe only way to get multiple teachers using a single Moodle, you need to pay for all 10 via the business plan which comes out to *Starting at 10 licenses for $1,999/year or take the education for 20 users which is $1,800 annually. It's a lot of money. I totally agree with you. You can also use Congrea on the Moodle for free, but without recordings.

@@fdibuono Go into ZOOM in the admin setting of your Moodle site and make sure that you do not tick off the mask participant data. Very nice video, explaining the process very well. Thank you I have another question: Will this Module work with a Zoom Webinar, rather than a Zoom Meeting? We have set up Zoom Webinars to restrict the participants from disturbing the presentation. It works extremely well. The intention is to integrate Zoom with our Moodle Courses so that it can be automated. This is what you've explained here. Ideally the Zoom recording should be provided in the same location within the course for on-demand viewing after the event. Where would the Zoom recording get stored, choosing the "local computer" option? Thanks so much!

But I have a requirement like only enroll students are allow to attain my zoom meetings. which is not there in zoom feature..I mean if I share my zoom link to my friend he/she can attain the meeting ..which we don't want.so is this possible with moodle and zoom plugin. Great question! You need a paid account for Moodle if you're the admin and use your ZOOM email for that. Otherwise, you can select to invite only those you wish if you send them emails. You can also add a password to your session and only share the link and password with your students and no one else. You can also use the waiting room in ZOOM and only allow your students to access your meeting by choosing who goes in and who does not. Please let me know if this helps. If my suggestions don't help, let's try another way. You can use Jitsi directly from your course on Moodle.

That may be for two reasons. One, maybe you're not using the same email as the admin. Two, maybe you do not have a paid account on ZOOM. Let me know if you can use it after checking.

@@ooyenMy pleasure! ZOOM's support is back full swing. It was never there for the past 2 years. I guess many people have decided to find other solutions because of ZOOM's lack of support. Users are leaving ZOOM. There are cheaper and better alternatives out there Have you tried Jitsi on Moodle? I highly recommend it and it's free for all your Moodle users.
