You’re very good at breaking down tricks into their components and communicating it. I’ve probably been doing this as long as you but it’s still informative! I prefer this to watching you skateboarding and carrying a latte!!

I think the most useful part of this video was the flip on the chair. That really put things into perspective and helped me realize I was approaching the trick all wrong XD

Hello le drib you are an absolute legend ! I’m a noob and finding it very hard to learn to fly ! I think the hardest thing about learning this trick was remembering to kill throttle when inverted.. other wise you find yourself on the ground really quickly. good video Drew
@lervikfpv3797 жыл бұрын
I had that problem in the beginning. Was to focused to make the quad go flat that i forgot to kill the throttle. Next thing i know the quad was faceplanted in the ground. xD But what I did was that i practised alot in a sim so I had it it my fingers.

I love all the music you choose for your videos. I don't know if you do this, but if you don't, you should try it. Choose the music before you fly, then listen to it while you are flying and try to do the tricks on the accents of the music. Like figure skateing with a quad.

I was so proud, Drew - I've been practicing in Liftoff, and today I had a run that looked just like your last flight vid. I mean, I was just trying to fly a straight line, but after I crashed, I said, "I meant to do that," so it counts. I was so in the zone that, for a moment, I could swear I knew who Fin is. :P

good tips on the inverted y/jaw spin lol try for the in motion not to flip the mix roll and yaw but make it one so roll never goes back to center then mix the yaw. also do right side up yaw till your eyes know tilt angle and auto adjust mix and don't stop at inverted. use it like a acrobat uses cartwheel but take it kwad yaw spinning gaps at all angles.

I'd like to see a more in-depth tutorial on how to powerloop. Most anyone can go under over and then under again, but how do you aim the top of the loop? Like in a couple videos I've seen you go through a really tight gap (that I wouldn't even try right side up) upside down. Just wanting to know if there's a method you developed for it or you it just happened a couple times and you figured it out.

Dizzy.D FPV slow down your rates! I used to fly with fast rates but i slowed them down closer to what drib uses and it made my flying much less twitchy.
@dizzydrc7 жыл бұрын
Lucas Schaar Thanks, I'll try it out. May I ask what your rates are? Was thinking about lowering them. Especially the rc rate so the sticks get "softer" in the middle
@Lucas_Schaar7 жыл бұрын
Very close to Drib.. around 850 roll, 700 pitch and 600 yaw. Still keeps quick rolls but the slower pitch makes it a bit smoother I think. Just play around with them. I don't do many jyaw spins so I don't care for a fast yaw rate.
@Lucas_Schaar7 жыл бұрын
and I copied what drib does with RC and super rates, no expo. 1.2 and 1.75 RC and .73, .65 and .40 super rate. It makes it less twitchy near center stick.

Le Drib this is definitely a place where a simulator like Velicidrone can help. I dont have any places around me that really give me the kinds of objects that I can invert and yaw spin to look at. But this leads to a question. Where are you on your rates that you have used over the past year? I slowed down my rates from like 1050 degrees per second to around 890 per second. Did more linear rate with a tad more expo and less super. It is probably the most measurable improvement in my flying. Inverted yaw spin seems like a trick that could benefit from slowing down rates.

Top Tip: If you run a 45deg camera angle, then if you have a level horizon, and use equal amount of roll and yaw, it will yaw flat. Works inverted, sideways or otherwise.
@Silor7 жыл бұрын
FPV YoYo assuming you have same roll and yaw rates which many people don't
@AChubbyWombat7 жыл бұрын
True, but if they are close, it won't really matter, and I think most people run the same/similar rates on all axis anyway. Good point though.

the most important thing is what you see through your goggles. (what you show in your vids are the GoPro recordings). my question is; if I have a Fatshark Attitude V4 (angle 32º) is much harder to fly with than a larger angle (42º) google? edit: Could you show us how to fly through your goggle? (I mean what you see during flying)
@ruftime7 жыл бұрын
Zoltan, its understandable that your concerned but the most important thing is to practice with what you have. The gopro footage helps to further convey the movements your trying to accomplish. Once you understand the movements you are trying to make, you just need to practice. Got lots of freestyle friends who can rip regardess of their field of view/goggles. You just gotta get use to Your field of view. Practice, practice! Happy Flying!
@chrispychickin7 жыл бұрын
Goggle FoV and camera lens FoV are important to get set up in a way that works for your eyes. I personally like a wider lens with my box goggles (very large FoV), but it's much harder to fly the same lens on a narrow FoV goggle like the non-hd fat sharks. The best thing you can do is play around with different setups until you find what feels most natural to you, really.
