Oh! I was super pleasantly surprised that you answered my question, Sachi!!! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into trialing solutions to the problem. I use a lot of velvet in my hat making business, so the needle board would be a wonderful tool to add to my ever growing collection... I will put it on my wish list. How did you think the velcro worked? I could not see if there were any lines showing where you pressed the fabric. I will definitely add stitching in the ditch on my next project, as well as zig zag stitching the grosgrain/elastic options. Your little boy is so precious! Thank you so much. Another question for you: What craft iron are you using in the video? I am considering purchasing the Steam-Fast SF-17, which was highly rated in a list of the best options. It is quite inexpensive on Amazon.

I just watched a Threads Magazine video where a lint brush was used for pressing seams on velvet. The velvet was placed face down on the brush surface and steam from an iron was blasted above the area, then the seam pressed with one's fingers. The velcro method was also shown. Thanks again Sachi!

I’m happy if the video was even a little bit helpful!! it was a good use for my failed project, too 😂 The lint brush method sounds very interesting, I have to try it sometime! Thanks for the info❣️I think Velcro worked pretty well, I didn’t get any unwanted marks from the iron! My craft iron is from Sunbeam. I think I also bought it from Amazon and it was one of the cheapest ones at the time :) I love how compact it is, and I use this craft iron 90% of time over my regular iron!

@@SachisStudio Be careful with the lint brush method, Sachi. It left a faint line in the velvet! I just used steam from the iron wavering above the velvet, over which I layed my cotton ironing cloth.
