If you have questions about device and version compatibility, I go over what devices and what versions are currently compatible at the beginning of the video. 16.6 betas are the only versions of 16.6 that work on newer devices, and the final version of 16.6 isn't compatible. Older devices such as A9-A11 do support the final version of 16.6 however, and work up to 16.6.1. Please watch the part of the video where I go over Dopamine 2 Requirements for more information.

I get what you mean, technically it requires it and technically it doesn’t. Once you have the app sideloaded you’re good, (you can also use TrollStore which may or may not require a PC to install a sideloaded app to install that.) If you already have TrollStore installed, then no PC is required at that point.

Sounds like several different things could’ve happened resulting in your device being in an unjailbroken state. (This can happen if your phone dies, or restarts from installing a broken tweak.) unfortunately because of the nature of app based jailbreaks, each time your phone restarts you have to go back into the app to get back into jailbroken mode. This used to be much more of a hassle before TrollStore, as every 7 days you had to go on your computer to resideload the app. Now with TrollStore though, apps don’t expire so you can open it and go back into jailbreak mode whenever.

@@mdevontaescarlet doesn’t require you be below iOS 16.6 and you can sideload about 10 apps (with 3 active, one of which is scarlet itself so 2 active). It can be like altstore refreshing apps every 7 days through pc or with certain VPN tweaks, refreshed without pc (just like SideStore). The thing that separates it from others are that it (like tutubox) gets certificates allowing the user to sideload apps signed by them while the certificate is not revoked directly from your device no pc required at all.

No Face ID and passcode not working only applies to some checkm8 jailbreaks, which require a PC to jailbreak each time. This is an app based jailbreak and it works differently than a checkm8 jailbreak, so you wouldn’t need to turn off your passcode or Face ID in order to use it and everything will work as normal.

@@kevingatescat It’s much easier now to install apps with TrollStore (which is what you’d be doing if you’re installing Dopamine to jailbreak), if you have a supported device/firmware for TrollStore which 16.0-16.6.1 is. Check out my TrollStore tutorial that I have linked in the description and it should hopefully make a little bit more sense.
