I have no problems up until just after I enter dfu mode. Recognises it’s in dfu mode but won’t reconnect in download mode it times out. Tried multiple times and always time out waiting for download mode

Well, are you using this with 1 of the 4 *only supported iPads?* if you’re trying this on 17 on any other device other than the 4 supported iPads it’s not going to work.

I outlined some steps you can take in this video, and I advised people who didn't know what they were doing to stay away from this, because while making this video I ran into a number of issues myself. Hopefully going back into your BIOS settings and changing the settings back to what they were before will allow you to boot your computer as normal

@@AppleAttack oh yeah jailbreaked my phone myself Also for the whole bitlocker thing just go to the link that’s on the screen and then sign in with your Microsoft account which in turn you get your recovery key which makes it so you can get your laptop back with no files deleted. I mean if you want "an easier way" that isn't checkm8 based, updating is always a bad idea. (There isn't an iOS 17 App based jailbreak yet even for older devices.) Staying as low as possible is always the better idea. However your device will pretty much always be jailbreakable at this point with things like palera1n since it's checkm8 compatible. If you're good with using palera1n, then at this point updating your iPad is probably fine. Just depends on what you want.

Palera1n should work for you, at the time I came out with this video though I wasn’t sure if 17.4 was going to work but yeah it should be fine. If possible though, I’d attempt to do this on a Mac computer as it’s a lot easier.

Winra1n jailbreak has to be the most headache exploit ever dawg godddammm one minute it works next minute it don't and there's so many errors that cannot be fixed. Apt error firmware error mobilesubstrate all kinda shit. Bruh I didn't get a jailbreak since 12.4 & 14.3 and then I just got my hands on a iphone 8 which is on 16.7.5.
