NOTE: There was something he didnt discuss here that happened to me that might happen to you. If you go to the webpage and click GoldHen and start the process and it says "Not Enough System Memory." This is NORMAL and just click ok and wait for the screen to popup the next step. Inster the USB Flash Drive and wait for it to say its unsupported and wait for it to make the notification go away. Remove the USB Flash Drive. Then click ok. You get ANOTHER "Not Enough System Memory." notification. AGAIN this is NORMAL. Click ok and let it finish until you see the GoldHen Notification and then it will say You're all set! IC dont know why with some people they get the "Not Enough System Memory" but some do and thats ok it will still work. Of course I would still double check your system memory FIRST before starting this jailbreak just to make sure your storage isnt completely full.

Had to use the furthest down usb port, or if its sitting horizontally, the usb port all the way to the right. Worked fine after that. The whole thing shut down and restarted and has the hen in the software information now. Thanks and great tutorial.

Its good to see high firmware jailbreaks it means its much easier to buy a ps4 of ebay and be able to jailbreak it theres a very good chance that someone who is selling their console hasn't played it in months therefore they may not of updated it i remember back in the day it was difficult to get a hold of a low firmware console

For flashing the img file, I like to use 'USB Image Tool' instead. It will only list flash media (flash drives or SD cards) so there is little worry about accidentaly overwriting your external hard drives. Anyways, Thanks for the tutorial. 👍

@@supersonicmario56 if in the past you had already used Jailbreak on your ps4 there are chances you installed the util to stop access to PSN. Try just connecting to the internet without altering the DNS addresses.

@@arsalankhan364 just be careful with updates and bans DNS are essentially to lock you out of PSN to not get the console updated or banned (which can still happen if the game use its own server and then send packages to PSN)

Hey guys, I tried this out, but I'm always getting an error when opening the users guide: "ERROR: 0x00000006 SSLerror: 0x00000000 Couldn't resolve hostname ok" I've tried using DHCP and the manual DNS settings but also a static IP outside the DHCP range. And of course I've put in the DNS servers correctly, multiple times. Does anyone have an answer?

Hey I found it was doing this due to me being on WiFi. Would just not work otherwise, so had to setup an Ethernet connection to PS4. Then from there I went to a web browser and entered the IP address manually, one worked other didn't.

@@rickyarinugraha What worked for me is using a newer ish usb stick, even try multiple ones, i think the fault with me was my usb stick not working fast enough for the hack to work (used a older 4gb stick at first then a 32gb one from sandisk), good luck!

I'm not sure I'm having a hardware issue but, I haven't been able to get a single game in a playable state for some reason. Every game I try has terrible graphical artifacts or just an unplayable framerate. Some games outright won't open at all. I know the games I'm trying are "compatible" but none have really worked. I have a launch PS4 from 2013 if that means anything, I just hope it's not a hw issue. 😬

for anyone watching this in the future; i highly suggest setting up al azifs host. not only does the host block the ps4 from trying to auto update fpkg games, but its also super fast in loading the goldhen exploit.

DNA resolve names to IPs. It is possible the servers aren't configured as actually full fledged DNS. You could just use one of suggested DNS as your primary then used a public (Google's or Cloudfare's) as the secondary. Note doing this may lead to getting updates pushed to your console. Disable auto updates.

Thanks for letting me know. I got the same error after removing the drive the first time which shut down the ps4. Then again the second time I got the error after clicking the 9.00 hen and again when I unplugged the USB drive. Worked on the third try though

It is possible to use an USB hub with switches , I mean, plug it in your PS4 and in any port of the USB hub, plug the pendrive that you'll use for inject payload/cfw. So, when is required to plug your pendrive , you only have to turn on the switch of the port in the USB hub and there you go. The same way, instead of plug out the pendrive, you only turn of the switch. It is just a suggestion, so you don't have to plug in.... Plug out every time the pendrive, because, sometimes either the USB port or the pendrive go to crap, and besides..... I found simpler turn on and of a switch for boot cfw/payload.

However, I have a problem: my PS4 is jailbroken, but because of the DNS the PS4 no longer connects to the Internet. It is as if no network is detected, yet I am well connected to the Internet. Looks like DNS is blocking all internet access (when testing connection, "failed" appears next to "NAT type" and "connection speed" ... I don't know what to do. Rest mode is great but i wouldn't recommend. Over time, it might slowly currupt your hdd or sdd or even corrupt your ps4 database. I've had both happen to me using rest mode.

Man I'm sure glad I came back to AL Azif's JB host, and very thankful for the dns server. I tried many times to use Karo's host but, I couldn't ever get it to cache the files for offline.(kept freezing @ different percentage before completing). And for some odd reason even though I had/have everything "unchecked" for Automatic updates, Games,9.03 FW was trying to update without initiating the process or going to the store. If I would have had good internet, it may have finished firmware update.(SOL) That's before I switched my dns back to AL Azif's that's in the video. Maybe I done something to start the process but, Im almost sure of it, that I wasn't signed in to PSN AFK. Anyhow, I'm back to Al's host with his dns and everything is good. I have also "disabled updates" as an extra precaution. 🤯😅

hello all, if your ps4 is not letting you update software through system settings and you don't want to connect o the internet just install 9.00 onto usb and boot ps4 into recovery mode by shutting the ps4 off then holding the power button down after you hear the second beep let go and you will be asked to update system software through the USB then and it will update to 9.00 without you having to connect to the internet

Well if anyone gets this problem take the USB and use Rufus to write the img. If that doesn't work then get a different USB for the img.

It just won't work for me. The prompt you wait for to remove the USB drive, it never ever comes up. I've had it come up ONE TIME after 20 minutes and was ready and able to get it and it worked. However I tried to do it again today and it just will not come up. If I get it again I can leave it running, but it would be really useful to figure this out first....

I figured it out, if anything is plugged into the other USB slot at all it mucks it up for some reason. Working now as long as I unplug my controller or any external HDD first.

Ok so I've tried this with 3 different usb drives, following this tutorial step by step but once I hit 19:29 and insert my USB nothing happens, I don't get the notification. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I also noticed that Win32diskimager reduces my drive to 1 gb of free space not 4 mb of free space like this video. Edit: I don't understand why, but doing the iso mounting on my laptop made it work like it's supposed to. My USB was reduced to about 4 mb just like the video and everything went smoothly.

How long do i have to wait for the notification, waited couple minutes and nothing shows up. when i remove the usb is telling me failed to trigger the exploit.this happened because you plugged in too late/early or not at all. if you did plug it in then the kernal heap is slightly corrupted.
