Jig worming is the essence of simplicity. There’s a misnomer that this tactic only catches small fish and it does but my son just caught a beautiful 4 pound largemouth the other day. We like to use smaller worms than we do for Texas rigging. 4 1/2” curl tail worms on an 1/8 oz mushroom head fished on 10 lb green mono on a medium fast spinning rod.

Another great video from the guys at WIRED2FISH!! I’m thinking that Zman already has MICROFINESSE jig head I used to use w just a regular Ned bait and am wondering if simply switching from the Ned to a worm like the video shows would work as well?? Thanks and keep up your good work

When it comes to jigging worms, I always use Berkey powerbait and I use anything with the red glitter or flakes in it. The reason for the red is this, when fish sees the red they're going to think that the bait is dying or injured or maybe bleeding. Fish do fish off the weak right, so what better way to make the fish think the bait is dying or bleeding by using red flakes or glitter.
