HOW TO JIMNY [Changing engine oil and filter]

greetings from Italy Florence I on my Suzuki Jimny 4x4 petrol 1.3 with m13a engine year 2001 I did the engine oil change in 2021 with Liqui Moly leichtlauf performance 10w40 a good product and in 2022 I did the oil change of 12,000 km it took the ceratec additive and as engine oil I put the liqui moly leichtlauf mos2 10w40 also a good lubricant and then I use the Liqui moly additives to clean the petrol injection system and the valves!

Sorry mate, a question: So you put 4 liters in the engine? A bit more? I am confused on how much oil exactly should the engine take, it's not specified in the Owner's Manual and I just got a 2017 Jimny. I'm used to do the oil change for my vehicles, but I can't find this info anywhere around. Thanks a lot!

Jimnys are between 3.6 and 4.3 litre oil changes, depending on year. If you aren't sure, put in 3.5 litres, check the dip stick and top it up from there.

In my Suzuki Jimny 4x4 with m13a petrol engine from 2001 I put liqui moly mos2 leitchlauf 10w40 and not 5w30 as many young know-it-alls say who put 5w30 even in a euro 0 engine and then I tell them today in Pontassieve there is a maximum temperature at 08:30 of +1 and I tell you that my Jimny started up very well without making any noise from the bank! (5w30 should be used if you live in Russia or Ukraine or in Scandinavian or North American countries!)

Hello. I am Mohamed from Algeria, why did you use 10w40 and not 5w30, knowing that the manufacturer recommends 5w30

2 reasons. 1 being the fact that my engines kms are getting quite high and the clearances are not as tight as they were, and 2 where I live in summer it gets pretty hot so I run I slightly thicker oil. The 10-40 I use still meets all the factory requirements for this engine.

What is the bolt size to drain the engine oil so I can buy a proper wrench size? A youtuber said the bolt need to be screwed to 35N-m by a torque wrench. Is it necessary from ur opinion?
