can order for example just the front
part of the left side skirt.
Remove the rivets and install the fresh part.

Yup. No worries, held up 2 seasons no problem. And in case a bigger crash, it actually saves the part - as it opens apart. You just reattach and the bumper is not broken in pieces.

No, you put it on the crash bar, it just slides on.

why make it 2 piece in the first place?

Because it’s very expensive to ship 1 piece kits worldwide - covid. And the whole logistics infrastructure is going in that direction.

@@Societyofknowledge we can ship everything 1 piece if you wish, it’s just more expensive. You also can install the 2 piece kit without the gap in the middle and you can also close the gap that’s smaller than 1mm by filling it with bondo or fibreglass.
