This brought tears to my eyes. It speaks to how I used to approach journaling but I've let all of the craziness in the world and daily responsibilities rob me of the comfort it once brought. I'm hoping to get back to this and I think the universe knows that to be true...and that's why I stumbled on this video...to encourage me not to give up.

My favorite thing to do is to find my special journal, visit different coffee shops and write. I have been doing this since I was 18. it's my therapy, it brings me back in the moment, it's so nurturing and healing. I also meet people because of me writing, people are curious. I never keep it, when I'm done, I'm done, I get rid of it. Thank you for your beautiful sharing.💖

What a good idea to never keep it. I think that will work very well for me as well. Thank you for writing that 💖

I absolutely loved this video and will be going back to watch it again and take notes. I have journaled off and on my whole life but never saved them I burned my journal that I wrote in after my husband passed and now I wish I hadn’t have done that. Now going through leukemia I will keep this journal and continue for the rest of my life I find total peace with this. You are right. We are never alone.

My mom gave me my first diary when I was something like 7 or 8 and I've been writing consistently since then. I still have my old diaries and it's so nice to see how my way of using these diaries evolved through time. I use to write such things as "I have a friend named X at school" to writing detailed reports of my days to really whatever. Now, it helps me to think more clearly while writing down what comes to my mind, and it helps me to notice things that make me feel bad, or good. Sometimes I draw, sometimes I stick things on the pages, and most of the time I write ahah. I hope anyone can find happiness in journaling if they feel called to do it!

I absolutely loved this video. Journaling is so powerful. So many journal videos are focused on aesthetic, which is also a creative outlet and a fun and beautiful way to journal, but your video was so stripped back. Focused on the writing instead of the aesthetic. I really appreciated this. This entire video was art. I would LOVE to see more journaling videos. Maybe even share some of your writing!

wow thank you Katt! That is so encouraging, I appreciate it 💕🤗I never thought about it that way! Yeah I definitely don't care about the aesthetic of writing. It's all about the words for me! Although I do like to include a postcard or picture in the back. This is such a good idea! I want to make a few videos on writing/journaling! Maybe I'll include some of my poems ✨

I've been a journalist for over 30 years and cannot imagine life without it. Helena, your video is beautiful and so filled with wonderful wisdom (and tips) on journaling....and life. I remember reading GWG years ago and Artists Way and both prompted me to get back into journaling. Which was literally life saving for me at the time. For anyone even the tiniest bit afraid of the idea of journaling ..... take baby steps to start..even if that's just making marks on the page initially. It'll come. The best part of it all is you'll meet yourself. That's pure gold. Helena, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They brighten the world.

Hey Helena. Thank you for this lesson. I am a chronic lifelong journal keeper and my biggest fear is that somebody will read my words, today or someday. I have many unpresentable thoughts and attitudes and there they are, amongst all the sweet and lovely. I know you've said you've burned old journals and I've burned a few too (seasons I couldn't bear to remember even though I never re-read my journals anyway). I just took a Hay House 3-day free course on journalling by Colette Baron Reid who suggested journaling from oracle cards which I've never done and now, interestingly, you say you pull a card too. I tried Julia Cameron's freestyle morning pages too, quite a few years ago, but never felt like enough of an artist to write three pages a day. 😊 It seemed like she meant that if you write those pages, (how big were her pages?) your real thoughts would emerge from the clutter and then you'd write them. I never wanted to take that much time in my ordinary life. One of my life goals is to write something to publish but the theme I was writing toward lost its energy through the pandemic. Now I'm telling myself to just keep writing and something new will emerge. Maybe. Maybe not, and I'm okay with that too. I'm looking forward to your book. Your videos are so artful and heartwarming and I thank you for all the effort you put into them. xo karen

Thank you so much for making this video.... I have always loved the idea of journaling, but either doubted my abilities or know how to be able to keep it up, always questioning myself as to wether I was doing it right. My life has changed significantly and I am trying to focus on me, which I do find really hard. I am also trying to master meditation every day and to manage my time better, I am noticing that I feel better for it, so maybe now is the time to lournal. So definitely more videos on this topic to help me and everyone who is just starting out and to those who have already made this part of thier daily routine. Sending love to you all xx

Hi Helena! Thank you for your wonderful tips on journaling. Always hesitated on journaling because my sisters and mother would read my diary when I was little and they haven’t changed much. So I fear someone would read my crazy thoughts. Guess I need to get over that. On another topic. I wanted to ask where did you get your earrings and bracelets? They’re so cute! On a previous video, you were wearing a ring with a big crystal rock. In the color green, a light green, like a reel color. It was gorgeous...

I've become very protective of it ever since then. And great questions! Most of my earrings come from boutiques I find in person. The ring I found in a small shop in town is a citrine crystal! One of my favs! So pretty 😻 Great for attracting abundance and blessings ✨ I also get my favorite jewelry pieces from Catori - here's a link! bit.ly/3YDZMk8
