Ive started journaling since I was thirteen. It wasn’t about random feeling or events that took place in my life, but about specific life experiences and meditations and lessons that I’ve experienced. I would never take an experience for granted, never a day wasted. I would filter out the things I could take out of the day and turn it into a lesson, so the next day could be brighter. When I do eventually have children, i plan to pass my stories that ive learnt and written, the lessons that ive learnt to them In hopes that they become better than I am.

YES!! FINALLY - a video that goes into depth and gives specifics!! Not all of us grew up in a household where their parents knew these kinds of things and taught them throughout childhood and teen hood. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've watched 5,10, & 15 minute videos on this topic that ended up telling me nothing - I got to the end and still had questions... Thank you for taking the time to do a longer video on this!

Honestly, when I would go back to my old journals I’d just see how far I had come. The nonsense that use to be important or in my thoughts or happening in my life… the thoughts that I once thought were profound seemed elementary to me. I’ve grown and developed past them. It was freeing when I got rid of my old journals. I could let go of the idea that there were good ideas stored in them because I knew that all my best ideas thus far are in the present, not in the past.

I also got rid of my very old journals. I have 10 years of notebooks/journals but anything past that I destroyed. It is good to keep them for a long time & extract anything interesting. I do wish I had them today since I did not extract anything from them but maybe that’s why they are gone.

I am a big KZbin podcast fan and love to listen as I chop my veggies or clean or whatever … your podcast definitely one of my favorites! I do journal and have for maybe 30 years. I do different ways at different times but my two all time favorite ways to journal are: (1) Gratitude Journal… end of day or early morning write down at least 5 things you are grateful for or that went really well that day! Often you cannot stop at 5… TRUE! (2) Love love LOVE the new ARC SYSTEM or Dot Journaling where you can easily move pages anywhere you want. It’s a life changer as you end up keeping track of lots of things maybe you wouldn’t normally journal but SHOULD? Like house improvements, quotes, ideas… I have a Brainstorming section etc etc. Maybe if you sell a lot of your journals you can offer a cheaper but nice quality vegan journal cover for we vegetarians? Lol thx!

BTW: I have built the tendency to watch only part of a video and then leave halfway, this is a great one to start the practice of watching until the very end. It's amazing what I could be missing in the last 3 mins of a video.

I have these two gorgeous journals that I was afraid to write in. But if I don’t they’ll just sit there and I’ll miss logging all of these invaluable moments. I love looking back and reading something I had completely forgotten. Sometimes the entry wasn’t as poignant in the moment as it is now. Thank you for this video.

I've always been into journaling. As a writer, it comes naturally to me. The best thing about it, without a doubt, is to be able to read back on my life 10,15,20 years ago. Without the journal, I'd've forgot over 95% of what happened. But reading the old entries, brings it all back. It's like having a map to your memories. I never read my old stories, or of course, the tech writing I did, or any of the journalism I did for years, but often I'll go back to my private journal, and read back on today minus 10 years and see how much changed. Highly recommended practice!

I literally woke up this morning telling myself I need to get back into journaling but also thought I'm not really sure how to do it efficiently. Then this video pops up. Crazy! What a nice gift!

I have been journaling since the 1970s. I journal everything everyday. To be more at peace and happy I always journal at least 3 things that have made me happy or brought me peace. Gratitude journaling is very rewarding.

I started journaling when i was in a shelter. The simple act saved me from being kicked out. I was in an environment that I had no control over and when I journaled, I was able to put any issue away and move on.

Thanks for this! I journal to process shadow material and emotionally messy issues. I think it can be overrated as a tool that has big payoffs. Keep it simple: It keeps my "concerns" in the open until they are resolved or determined unimportant... That's enough.. Affirming the "truth" is the biggest benefit. Incidental rambling clears my head! Often it opens me to concerns that I must suffer through in order to process, resolve, and integrate- not always pleasant ("work out your own salvation with fear and trembling"). When I fill up a 89 cent journal book, I throw it away. Thanks for this!!

There was an image of it in the video which popped up when he initially referenced the commonplace book idea. Perhaps you could go back through the video to find it?

not gonna lie, i wasn’t into this whole “energy” stuff till my friend handed me Magnetic Aura-she wouldn’t shut up about it and now i see why, everyone i know who read it seems more chill and magnetic in this effortless way. it’s not a magic fix but it definitely hits different. finding a copy is a hustle tho, they don’t stick around long

I recommend everyone to find the book titled The Censored Guide to Wealth, It changed my life.
@Pocketfmfreeepisode13 сағат бұрын
i used to think all these energy books were just hype, but then i heard about Magnetic Aura from friends who suddenly seemed calmer, more in control, like they weren’t letting stress or negativity mess with them anymore. it’s not magic or anything, but i can’t ignore the changes i’ve seen in them since they read it. it’s hard to track down tho, so if you’re curious, you’ll need to dig a little.
@hasibraja379913 сағат бұрын
so my friends read this book called Magnetic Aura and they all started acting way more confident-one got a job they didn’t even apply for, another’s meeting all these amazing people who actually lift them up. it’s like something shifted in their vibe, not in a flashy way, just subtle and real. it’s wild tho, this book keeps getting removed so fast cuz it’s apparently too powerful-good luck finding it if you’re curious.
@jobanpartabsinghsingh231313 сағат бұрын
you ever meet someone who just has this natural vibe, like they’re on a different level? i found out most of my friends like that all read Magnetic Aura and they swear it’s not about pretending, just being real and not letting negativity drag you down. it’s wild how hard it is to get tho, keeps disappearing everywhere, but maybe that’s what makes it worth it
