How To Journal Through Psalm 23 In The Bible

With no fancy handwriting, I read and journaled through this most popular Psalm word by word every day for nearly a month. Here's what I journaled, what I learned, and what I hold onto today too!
Journaling in my time with God shifted so much for me in our relationship; but not bubble letters, fancy handwriting, or colorful notes in my Bible. I journaled the way that I learn!
Psalm 23 is well-known. I could piece it together to quote to you from half memory like many Christians. But in 2022, that changed completely.
I read Psalm 23 every day for nearly one month. Not only did I slow down verse by verse, but word by word.
I'm sharing Psalm 23 from my personal journal.
As a former Bible school graduate, I know the study tools. I use them regularly. But not here. I read Psalm 23 word by word and I haven't looked at this chapter of David's writing in the Bible the same since.

After someone dear to me passed away, I found myself praying for peace that I would see that person in Heaven one day. I had been praying so hard for their heart to be softened toward God, and in this person's physical life, I had little confirmation that I would rejoice with them in Heaven. The day after, someone closer to this person than myself, Informed me that the dearly departed had told this other friend recently that when they needed comfort through their life, they had always repeated Psalm 23 and found peace. This was not the only confirmation God blessed me with to ease my concern and guilt, but it certainly sticks with me, and I think of it often ❤ thank you Kaela

May we take verse 5, in light of your explanation to not allow it to be thought of with pride, to also soften our hearts to understand that thus "feast" could have duo meaning. Yes, to help us understand that the enemy will be watching as we are blessed, but that at the wedding feast of all believers, those who were our enemies in our physical lives, may have repentance that we don't know about, and may be at the very table we sit at in that day ❤

That's great personal insight. I love though when reading the Bible and I get a little lifestyle nugget for myself too 😉 I want to encourage you to remember the context of David's writing and life at the time. The meaning and intent of this verse is David declaring the goodness of God in the midst of, right there, his enemies being present doesn't stop what God has prepared. Such great personal insight, and we just have to try not to make a specific scripture mean something different than what it means.❤️
