How to Juggle 5 Clubs - Advanced Tutorial

Juggling 5 clubs is a serious trick. It looks beautiful and it takes a long time to learn. Anyone that can juggle 5 clubs is a really good juggler. In this video, Niels Duinker shows you the steps of how you can learn to juggle the 5-club cascade. You will start by practicing 3 clubs at double spins in the cascade pattern. Thereafter you move on to exercises with 4 juggling clubs, and then you start doing drills with 5. Niels shows you how to hold 3 clubs in one hand, how to start and how to stop the pattern. I can warm my way up to 14 throws and catches on 7 pretty consistently so in that sense I've got it, but i think it will be a long time before i can do 5 cycles for 35 catches. Some days I feel like I'm on fire for the pattern and get up to 18 catches and other days it takes me half my practice time to just catch a flash and maybe I only get up to 10 catches that day. Is this ever your experience with learning a new trick? I can't figure out why it's so much easier on some days to exceed my average and other days i do so much worse. Maybe you could do a video on the process of learning some time and how to stay mentally tough with hard tricks? I think many people learning juggling would appreciate it, as I think it's easy to get frustrated when learning by yourself and maybe that stops many from learning advanced tricks. I know for me, I learned 5 ball cascade in my first year, but it took me until my second year (just a few months ago) to get 4 ball 534. It was just a matter of making time for it every day even though it felt like I was making no progress for weeks and weeks. That is how I plan to eventually master 7 even if it takes 10 years. Great video, but that 3-in-one-hand grip is the opposite of what Charlie Dancey’s book recommends, which is the version I learned. I really believe Charlie’s version is better because it more readily adapts to a four-club grip if you’re ever mad enough to reach for a seven or eight club pattern.
