Lol I have 4 year gap (2017 -21) because of UPSC. This 4 year gap makes going abroad and finding job pretty difficult. So I'm just hoping that I can justify it well in an interview. (Honestly I dont think top colleges would accept something like that). But I've got no other viable option right now other than CAT and MBA. Lets see what happens.

@2iimcat Жыл бұрын
I'm assuming you're taking into account a scenario that's going to occur 1 year from now and you're not in the current B school joining cycle. If yes, that's a battle to be fought much later my friend. If it gets to that, we can prep you with multiple answers that can convince the interviewers or at least make it look like we're being honest. Your single agenda right now should be getting 99+ percentile in CAT. We can worry about the rest later. Best Wishes!

If possible, try to look for full-time work opportunities rather than internships. Internships are good, no doubt at all. But between a job and an internship, the former is preferred over the latter in an interview.

Explain that to the interviewers. GATE is a intensely competitve examination as well. Tell them what your score was, how you prepared. They might ask you a few questions from your GATE syllabus/subjects for sure.

Any full-time paying job is considered a work experience. Your call depends on just 5 factors - 10th score, 12th score, UG score, Number of months of Work Experience & CAT Score. There is no metric to measure the quality of work experience for getting a call.
