If you temporarily mount a piece of wood underneath the frame rail, you can use the centering bit of your hole saw. Alternatively, drill a hole using your hole saw through a block of wood, then mount the wood to the side of your frame rail…this will prevent the hole saw from walking when trying to drill without the center bit.

when you use the hole saw best way is to mark the circle with the hole saw the get a small bit that is the thickness of the hole saw blade and drill every 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch around the circle then use the hole saw and it will go thru the remaining material very fast

i found a local fit that needs a motor and i was contemplating on picking it up, i live in the desert, how is keeping the ac in the car with the swap. as soon as i posted this comment you said you would address this later in the video.

I have not completely finished the AC yet. I have been working on it just have completed it yet. I can tell you that the lines do need to be custom made. I have tried using other oem lines and goes but nothing to work 100%.

On the factory L15 with the manual trans, there is the "4th mount" for side to side vibrations is my guess. I am assuming that you only do the three mounts (passeger side, transmission, and Subframe mounts)?

Yes with the k series engine you only use the 3 main mounts, both side and the rear

Love it all so far! Seeing it makes it seem much more achievable! Is there a notching difference with the 5spd vs 6spd? I’ve heard there’s some Fitment differences between the two.

Wade Harper the 5spd from the ep3 civic is the same case as what we are using. If you use an accord or tsx transmission. It is different and the mount itself is different. Hasport does not offer a kit for those transmissions that I know of.

Sorry if I missed something here but you are using the complete Hasport K24 conversion mount kit they offer for our GD3? Also for the OE mounts do you recommend getting aftermarket or new oe mounts? Awesome video! Soo detailed! I've had my motor and SI transmission sitting for 4 years now just haven't have the chance to get the swap going haha.

It’s a complete Hasport kit witch includes 3 brackets. And you use the factory fit mounts. I filled my stock mounts.

No aftermarket kits out there. DIY is best at this point

Sherridon Kelly unfortunately they don’t offer K swap mounts for automatic Fits. The mounts or frame are different, so that swap would involve a lot more custom work

You so converted to rear disc? Aftermarket? Or donor? Donor which model?

Yes , the rotor, caliper, pads, and e brake cables are all from a 94-01 integra. Then it has a aftermarket bracket to add the caliper etc. and custom soft brake lines to the calipers

The swap was done years ago and not sure if the company that made it is still around. If you search rear disc swap Honda Fit it should pull up

@Kevronseye, I just found a rear axle beam from a 2011 cr-z, it looks like I can mount it, I also took the calipers and cables from it, but I haven’t mount it yet, maybe tomorrow or this weekend. I’m worried about the ABS vs the 40/40 proportioning valve. You think my ABS will be compatible with the CR-Z abs system? I checked they look similar and the brake lines on the CR-Z is different but it looks manageable.

Off topic is it the OEM manual tranny you are using with the k series? And is that a k-24 or K-20?

Sie Lee The only thing that won’t work on the cluster is the coolant gauge and tach. Working on fixes for them currently.

Get Rekt no it’s more of a winter time project. Running Ktuner display works great and has way more gauges haha

You should’ve polyurethane painted the frame area.
