I would say I agree with Ethan on this, when it comes to texting you have a higher chance of that person responding if they feel like they have a deeper connection with you. In some cases, it's better to talk to them in person because you can develop that deeper connection and then lead it back to texting.

I think the issue here is if you try to conversate with a girl thru text before having spoken to her in person is most likely gonna lead to dry texts. From my personal experience, I've had way better texting conversations AFTER having conversated already in person. If you meet a girl thru a dating app and go straight to getting her number and texting, then it will be a lot more annoying to keep a text convo going. Either way these are still good tips.

That's a really good question, I would say the best thing to do is maybe two have the girl introduce you to her dad. That way you can show him that you are respectful guy and in meeting him show him that you're interested in his daughter. I would spread those interactions out across maybe two or even three interactions, you may even want to FaceTime with her and then have her bring her dad on so that you can just say hello just to continue building that relationship with him building up to you asking her out and asking him for his permission.

Bro I’ve been talking to this girl that one of my friends is really close friends with. I’ve know the girl I’m talking to for some time and I sit next to her in one of my classes. The thing is that idk what to say to her at all. I wanna get to know and I wanna ask her questions to do so but I feel like it would be just weird to flat out just ask her a bunch of questions.
