She said, " My mother always taught me to look out for the red flags", 😭 that made me so proud of her. I didn't even know she had remembered I ever said that. I didn't even remember! 😂. This applies even to "older daters" -- women who are back on the dating scene after years of marriage due to divorce, death, etc. and don't know how to play the game. Just saying that there are a lot of old guys who were players, have baby mamas, never married, but will see a woman who is "vulnerable" and take advantage of them. Please don't forget we are out here listening to you as well.

What can be said a out these men who prey on vulnerable women?
@shelleydavis52315 жыл бұрын
Good point, I think by the time women gets older, they should know their strengths and weaknesses. So if you know your currently in a vulnerable stage of life due to divorce, loss of a spouse, don't be dating anyone soon until you feel like yourself again. What most people tend to do after divorce, is look for the exact opposite character traits that made them end up in divorce, only to realise when you find it, that the new person comes with a different set of challenges, eventhough they might have ticked the boxes you don't want in a future relationship. Isn't life just peachy 😂
@alliemaxwell83825 жыл бұрын
Julianne Joseph: Identify the reasons why you’re vulnerable. Self love is the best kind of love. Don’t even think about a relationship or dating Until you fully & completely love yourself, heal from the past, release the negativity & forgive (yourself & others). It’s a process but if you don’t take a timeout, you’ll continue to release the same mistakes over & over... (my 2cents)✌🏾

Yes, I definitely needed this exact advice 5 years ago, coming out of a 30 year nightmare marriage and immediately falling for a man who had been single 7 years and played me for 3.5 years. I agree. You get what you settle for if you don't have or keep up standards. That said, from experience I've met one after another of the former kind,. and if I have met a decent man, I didn't recognize him. I am beginning to think finding a good man is just a myth. (Knight in shining armor myth-childhood fantasy) and I accept of a life of flying solo. During my over 30 year marriage, my ex husband just invested less and less love, and more and more cruelty was met to my sincere desire to be a loving wife and good mother. It was worse than just not loving, or even indifference. I allowed it, put up with it, and thought I was to blame for it. I hoped for so much better treatment in a marriage. It was a mockery of what love should be. What a hard lesson to learn. The way you explain it makes it much easier to deal with the issue before it becomes one. How to recognize the game plan and deal with it in a logical, instead of emotional way. Thank you for your spot on videos. They are very helpful.

My last relationship was exactly like that. In the beginning it was great but then he started ignoring me and was never willing to make time for me. Always had some lame ass excuse for it too but would assure me he still loved me. I told him that just claiming to love me wasn't enough, he had to show it to me too. But anytime I would bring up how I needed more, it would fall on deaf ears. I knew that there was no use trying to work it out if I was the only one willing to put in effort, so I kicked him to the curb. He was the first guy I ever really loved so it hurt like hell and still does, but I refuse to settle for a half assed relationship.

It is real simple. Stop being with and giving to the greedy. Find the right one. Give to the deserving. Anyone who has not proven themselves worthy should not be in your life. Life is too short to waste time on selfish, inconsiderate people. Love is a gift. But, so is your time. Know when to stay and when to walk away.
@moniquevandeplas52103 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right. Love is a gift. Time is a gift. The second gift vets taken away if you spend the first one on an undeserving person. Life is short. Spending it loving the right people...even if the only person for a time is oneself
@pattycake98566 жыл бұрын
I so agree, why do so many women short change themselves. I remember my husband told me a long time ago, maybe about 10 years into our marriage he told me "l don't owe you anything." When he said this he totally caught me off guard and I said nothing. The second time he said that to me when we were in the misted of an argument. I told him, you've got a lot of nerve to say that to me. Are you crazy, yeah you do owe me, you owe me the best that you can be, you owe me protection, emotional support, and your precious time when I need it and I owe you the same. I told him I don't ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth ever again. We've been married a long time over 40 years but he tried me for a few of those years until I decided I wouldn't accept his non sense under any circumstances. When someone tells you they love you, accept nothing but the best from them, if they can't give you this than confront them on their actions and if they refuse to change than they love themselves more than they love you. God bless
@zmcfadgen6 жыл бұрын

Agreed! It took 15 years for me to realize this. After 7 years I expressed my feelings and nothing changed. Give the relationship more attention another 3 years after that. Suggested marriage counseling which was shot down. I got the counseling for my self and worked on me within the relationship for another 5 years. I had to be sure that I gave it my all because in my mind once it done it's done (no going back). 15 years of marriage, I finally realized that the marriage was over. I accepted this and made peace with my part I played in the relationship and left. Now I am working on for forgiveness and compassion, I do not want to be bitter for being committed and submissive when he wasn't. Now he wishes things could be different. Now all I want for him is to find peace for his own personal happiness.

I totally agree. In the beginning I was cautious but he proved himself worthy of my love. Then he changed overnight for the worse. I asked to talk, he refused point blank. In fact, he said he didn't see a problem, that it was all in my head. I moved out, yes I did l pleaded again for us to talk. He knew I was a catch! (I guess I wasn't) but he just wanted me hooked in my head, meaning "crazy-in-love" to tolerate any crumbs he threw my way but I refused him and refused his body and now I'm attractive and alone. Women say: "your soo beautiful" and cant believe I'm alone, my response is beauty cannot change another person, it may attract a man or woman but has nothing to do with that persons mindset. Stay blessed and I love the way you describe how you love your woman, it's soo real and what us single women are looking for... genuine men!

He broke up with me again yet i am peaceful. I did my best and i have no regret on him. Even he acknowledge that i am a sweet person and i am precious. Yet he broke up. I will be always be me, being a sweet person, no matter how much I feel bitter. I won't let anyone turn me hard, bitter, mean. I won't be used even though i will be pouring my love to everyone. Yesss sis. That’s kind of what many of us are taught. It’s kind of that “you hit me, I hit you back” mentally that I was taught from elementary school. You treat people the way they treat you. But when it comes to matters of the heart, it doesn’t work that way.

I agree. I was in a relationship with someone who I thought wanted a relationship. It turned out that he liked and cheated. I was tired of him using me I had to forget. We women have to be smart. I just want to say thumbs up for words of encouragement and for opening most of eyes.

I cannot even tell you how much your video clips have helped me in the 24 hours I have watched them. I’m blessed to have found your you tube at this exact time in my life because I am at such a crossroads...thank you so much. You explained being used in such a way that it’s like now I have my eyes opened when you said why would you continue to show up at a job getting shorted half your check! That resonated so much with me.

If he takes SOME of it for granted, he will take ALL of it for granted. Retract your value you pour into that relationship and give it to somebody else. Don't let that man teach you how to half love by the way he half loves you. Peace." Thank you Derrick #teamjaxn

You're so right Derrick it seems like I'm a glutton for punishment being in the relationship I was in. All I wanted was for him to care more and at the end of the day I was feeling mistreated, neglected and unloved. In my mind I wanted to walk away from him but my heart wouldn't let me go. I just kept going back and the situation didn't charge. But what HURTED me the most is when he told me that he told me to see other people if I want that he wouldn't stand in my way. That broke me. I felt like he didn't value me and that he just didn't GAF. Rejection is a hard pill to swallow. Now I'm looking at what part I played in giving him complete control of my emotions, of me. I basically lost who I was being with this person. I refuse to ever let that happen to me again. I deserve to be love unconditionally.

Christina feeling hurt is just your inner spirit to move forward and to fine to strength you need to do you. He's only hurting himself because the grass is never green on the other side and he will fall just like the rest of them. Its time to find you place God first and allow him to send you Mr. Right. Dont go searching for noting. Let it come to you and what how wonderfully things will be. But keep in mine we all suffer for a purpose and that purpose is to wait for the Lord blessing Power.

What if you're not in a real relationship (have title), you're "special friends?" Am I being unfair by just pulling the plug with no explanation since I've become aware of the games he's playing. I don't even care to be real friends anymore. I can't allow myself to get used like that because I go hard when I give my all, and it just doesn't seem fair to me anymore to put up with these nut ass dudes that don't want to commit and think I might be okay with being a side piece, or even be treated any old kind of way because I'm going through something. Hell I'm not that type desperate. I rather be single and lonely than involved with someone and miserable. Ain't in the business of keeping a man that don't want to be kept. You want to act single then go be single without me in your life. You can't work hard to get a brand new car and once you get it you don't keep up with the maintenance. Hell no, the same effort you put in to getting me you need to put in to keep me. Trey Songz said it right: I want all of you or nothing. You give an inch, these fools try to take a mile. You give in to 1 thing he wants to make him happy (like a threesome) and that opens the door for all types of bulls***. I'm not some on-call soulmate. If you're not trying to go at least to the next level with me, not necessarily relationship level but levels spiritually, life, business, success and progression; then what the heck are we friends for? You're either taking some things off my plate or adding to my already full plate. If you can't at least help to ease my mind and bring me back to center then what are we doing this for? Don't waste any more of my time, I got other things I could be doing than making time for you. Got NO TIME for fake ones....

Yeah , he won’t / can’t respect you because you”helped him get back on his feet. “. Never help a guy get back on his feet. That’s degrading and castrating to them when a woman does it. You thought you were helping but you were hurting him. Not intentionally of course.
