@@TheLawnFellas Thanks for the tips! I just bought one and it came with the oil. I pored in all the oil in and its above the top line by a half inch. Is it bad to run it with a little too much oil? I thought the bottle they gave me was supposed to be the perfect amount.

@@ZupE891 I would check your manual and on your dip stick is a line or some type of marking. Mine is two arrows for example. If it’s not between those arrows I either need more or I need to take some out. So if you get a syringe and suck some out it’s not gonna hurt it 👍🏼

Thanks for the maintenance tips. This is my first year using the Timemaster. I was really struggling with cutting and bogging down using the mulcher if I went over 7 days. With the side chute, it left big clumps, but did not bog down. My solution was to have the front deck at the height I want the cut, and the rear deck higher. I get the closer cut with no bogging or clumps. Is there any drawback to doing that? Is that bad for the mower? Thanks in advance.
@TheLawnFellas
@TheLawnFellas 2 жыл бұрын
No it’s not bad for it. Another solution would be to open the flap with a bungee like I did. I did a video on that also on how to make a push mower ocdc. The only problem though is grass and other stuff gets dispersed out the side a lot faster so it could be a safety issue so be careful. 👍🏼💯 thanks for watching

3 things that might be wrong. 1 Take of the fuel filter and try to either clean it out by emptying it or swap it. 2 just twist off the gas cap to see if it might be vapor locked. 3 check the spark plug. Those would be the easy solution to check before you move on to the engine. Hope that helps 👍🏼

It's not a bad idea to check the timing belt tension routinely. Toro put a spring washer (a rectangular washer) underneath the head of the tension adjusting bolt. They suggest tightening the tension adjusting bolt until you can just barely slip a thin piece of cardstock or a 0.010" feeler gauge between the spring washer and the mounting plate. And, it's not routine maintenance, but after losing the timing belt tension pulley, I replaced the timing belt tension pulley and idle pulley with the eXmark parts. (Part # 126-7890). Pricey, but when you figure out your downtime, and labor, you don't have to replace too many of the Toro pulleys to justify the exMark price.

@TheLawnFellas 3 жыл бұрын
I will definitely check this for sure thanks for letting me know. I am pretty sure I need to adjust my pto belt pulley it is not catching right away and there is a delay. Sometimes I have to engage it a few times before it catches 👍🏼
@47f0
@47f0 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheLawnFellas - That tension adjustment is only for the toothed blade timing belt tension. It has no effect on engaging the blade drive. The blade drive belt engagement pulley is adjusted just behind the toothed blade timing belt where the cable is held in place by a flat plate and bolt. Loosen that bolt and slide the cable housing to your left until you have just a little bit of slack in the cable, then retighten the bolt that holds the clamp plate. Be sure there is a slight amount of slack in the cable. If you slide the housing too far to the left and put that cable under tension the blades may still want to spin with he blade drive bail lever in the disengaged position, and the blade brake may not fully engage the pulley brake hub when the blade drive engagement bail lever is released. That's a bad thing.

I never understood why people take the wire of the plug, you couldn't spin the blade fast enough to start it!
