Once we took our beagle for long road trip and until first break stop he was whinning all the time, after that i was sitting on back with him to hold him next to open window and keep him company so he would be calm. Now he likes trips

I have a toyota Corolla station wagon, so I opted for a dog cage in the back. It's roomy with space for him to lie down, have water and food bowl, and also move about and look out. He usually sleeps when we're driving, but sometimes sits and looks out the back window. If I roll down the backseat windows, then his nose goes wild 😂 I wouldn't want my beagle loose in the car, even in the back with a harness, for his own safety.

I let my dog free roam mainly in case of an accident. I don't want my pup to be trapped. I'd rather chase my dog for hours and be alive than vice versa
