I read the kindle after I crashed out of Aconcagua with cold feet at Nido de Condores. When I returned from Aconcagua with my feet intact, and no summit, my wife moved out of the house a few days later. Aconcagua was a big L. I plan to go back single.

I bought the book a couple years ago. It is well written and explains things in a friendly way.

Perhaps I missed it because you have so much knowledge/content but I’d love your thoughts/videos on wool as a sleeping medium for non hiker type activities aka car / van camping (in the vehicle). For example you often talk about cold soaking of inflatable sleep mats and putting a closed foam pad on top … perhaps you could extend this thought to wool. Is it better to put wool on the bottom as a sleep pad alone or in conjunction with various pad types. How well do they (wool blankets) work in the absence of down bedding … perhaps how well wool works as an insulator in general … as an inside barrier in a van … not a full van life question … but kinda ❤

Back in the day….. we used Berghaus ( UK ) YETI over the boot. The boots were fairly soft so not really very stiff. The problem was always maybe the size was wrong but the rubber rand was super hard to get in the boot. So we would warm them up ( inside the hotel or building ). They often slipped off while on the ski depending on the boot and you could never get the cold rand back on over the toes. The worse issue was the boot would often crease too much due to the added force of the rand and cut your toes. This could perhaps need some solution or choosing oversize of the insulated yeti and maybe screw in the rand too ??? They are still in production 38 years later. There is a £20 Amazon neoprene foot sleeve you can get ????
