I also feel that way. I have 1500 items, top rated plus, list 10-12 items daily and I get 2-4 sales a day. I sell new with tags clothing and it was great the last few years but this year it seems like sellers are racing to the bottom. They are depreciating the brand and it’s difficult competing with this issue. I don’t want to do the listings and feel frustrated. Between slow sales and sellers racing to the bottom selling has become a chore and not fun anymore.

These are all really good tips!! I have recently started taking the weekends off and you are right!! I am WAY more productive during the week! I currently do 10 listings daily so I just work ahead on drafts for the weekend during the week so I still have the consistency of listing but I don’t have to work those days! 😊

Great tips, thank you. I do some of these things, but you actually encouraged me to calculate exactly what it would take for me to increase my sales by my goal amount. It's totally within reach, and literally took me 10 minutes to calculate, write down and know pretty much what I need to do. One thing I do which helps me is to keep a journal with quick lists of everything I get done in a day, work and personal. This keeps me accountable to myself and also is encouraging on those days when I am 'busy' all day but 'feel' like I didn't do anything.

Hi Cayley! You mention in this video that because Saturday is not technically a business day, you don’t have to ship on that day. Did I understand that correctly? If so, I just want to confirm, if I have one day handling set up in my shipping policies, and someone orders an item on Friday…I wouldn’t have to ship until Monday?

That is correct. You can still ship out on Saturday if you want to, but you are not required to.

What to do if you’re listing more than you’re selling? I’m trying to keep low inventory. I am relisting weekly, posting daily and sending offers.

Maybe be more particular with what you pick up. Make sure to always look up your items, no matter how low cost. Check the sell through rate and stay away from over saturated items, in most cases. Check your keywords and make sure your pictures are good and if clothes, provide measurements Charge shipping, make it as reasonable as possible. I would not suggest taking returns. Yet if you make an error be accountable. Know when to have the person just keep the item, if lower cost and if they take the time to message you, and it was your error.

It takes some time for sales to roll in so if you just started, I'd keep being consistent. If you've been listing consistently for months and still not seeing close to the same amount sell, you will want to reevaluate what you are sourcing and how much you are listing the items for. The goal is to pick up high str items and list them at a fair market price.

Reselling is definitely not a walk in the park at all. It's a grind for sure. Especially with clothing. It's like you have to have thousands of items to make daily sales or you have to do free shipping while running promotions and sales which is like no profits. From my experience anyways 🤷‍♂️

Nope. I don't offer free shipping, have less then 400 items and make daily sales. I don't even have great items, just items that are actually selling..... and take lots of pics and pics of the sizes. Never had 1 return either.

Great info. Can you further explain what you mean by scheduling out listings to be ahead? Do you mean just having extra listings saved in a draft bank or actually scheduling the listings to go live on a particular date? So lets say you want to list 10/day but you actually make 15. You list the 10 and then schedule the other 5 for a future day? If so, how far out do you schedule them for? Thanks

I actually schedule them ahead for a future date. You can do this on both ebay and poshmark. I prefer getting them out of the drafts so there is less to see and I don't have to worry about it.

Im starting reselling again after a few years of working a day job. When I was reselling before, it was mostly a hobby and now I want to focus on building a sustainable business that I can live off of. And it's feeling a bit overwhelming. I see other resellers make sourcing and listing look easy. I've definitely been feeling discouraged. But every day I learn something new, and now I'll try to keep this video in mind as I focus on growing.

Doing this as a side hustle while working my corporate job is how I got started. It's definitely a grind in the beginning and a huge learning curve but you can totally do it!

@@stephaniefowler7435 it's definitely worth trying. My advice would be to only pick up things you've done the research on. Check comps (filter to solds on ebay or w.e. platform)
