How to keep your truck running Peterbilt or others “override Idle shutdown”

I know how to override it whenever you want it’s pretty easy if your truck has heated mirror pop the back part off with a screwdriver slide the sensor out and stick it behind the heated mirror then whenever you need to override it just turn on the heated mirror

@@hardeepsinghdhaliwal3860 pop off the back cover of the drivers mirror use the switch to make the mirror face down as far as it will go then slide the small mirror up out of place then you will be able to slide the tempature sensor out of the housing and stick it behind the heated part of the mirror you’ll see 2 wires connecting to it after that put it back together and whenever you want to overrride shut down you just turn on the heated mirror

I'm broke down in kent wash. I just did what you said only I couldn't drive onto the hwy I just held it at 1600 rpm, after a few minutes it cleared and right now the regen is running. Thank you very much,

Im driving a 2024 579 with the cummins. I just push the brake in, but keep the trailer brake engaged. And i did turn on the cruse control button. It ran its ass off.

I got a 2022 Peterbilt to but I don’t have the fancy steering wheel with the button options on if mines probably a lower model I tried your method also the parking air break for the tractor but it still shut off if I idle at 1000 ramps I can keep it running but my temperature gauge is near my motor I think because it’s not on my mirror so if I keep my truck at 70 degrees it will stay running if I feed it the heat coming off my motor sad part is it’s not good to run the truck like that my boss is fuckin stingy with the idle shit I just bitched at him about it unless you got any other ideas please let me know

How I said not every truck is the same plus I believe the system on the 2023 is more advanced. Did you try any all the other options. I think the one with the hands warmer on the temperature sensor by the left side mirror would work for you. Let me know

I have a 2023 as well and the only way my truck stays running is when the temperature is either 28°C and above or -15°C and below.
